1 on 1 Sessions. Bridging the gap for our Mind and Body Functionality! I'm a wife and mother to an amazing family!

Always family first. I know how hectic things can be, so I try to keep schedules flexible for family and clients. I know what it's like to be forced to slow down because something isn't functioning properly. I know how hard it can be just to try and get through daily life. Working "through" the pain may not be the answer...
If you find yourself with hip/back pain, ankle/foot dysfunction, mobilit

y and/or balance issues, tension/tight muscles and nothing else has been working, I look forward to meeting with you.

So Blessed to be able to help clients the way I can!

About a month ago, I had a client come in with forearm discomfort and weakened grip strength.

We had already looked at muscle function in the area so we assessed further up the chain.

When we looked at arm and shoulder joint positions and repetitive movement, we found his Rotator Cuff muscles weren't all doing what they were supposed to.

Supra (which abducts the arm and helps support the delts) was overworking for the Teres Minor (which laterally rotates the arm, aids in bringing the arm back down towards the body and stabilizes the humeral head).

Had him self-release the Supra and exercise the Teres. He then challenged his movement again.

All discomfort was gone and his strength returned.

This work along with adjusting his body's position during the work has helped keep him out of pain and remain more functional!

This is a good reminder that just because you feel something in an area doesn't necessarily mean it's actually coming from there.

Be willing to explore your movement and function.

Think twice before you lace up those high heels (or even those cushioned running shoes with a steep heel drop)! Did you know that the shoes on your feet could be the hidden culprit behind your nagging lower back pain? It all comes down to a chain reaction in your biomechanics.

Here is exactly how it happens:

1. The Forward Shift
When you wear a shoe with a raised heel, your heel is lifted higher than your toes. This naturally shifts your body weight forward, throwing off your center of gravity.

2. The Pelvic Tilt
To keep you from literally falling flat on your face, your body has to compensate. It does this by tilting your pelvis forward—a condition known as anterior pelvic tilt. Picture your pelvis as a bucket of water; a heel lift causes that bucket to tip forward, spilling water out the front.

3. The Lower Back Crunch
When the pelvis tilts forward, it forces the lumbar spine (your lower back) to over-arch to keep you upright. This excessive arching compresses the facet joints of your spine, restricts your lower back muscles, and puts immense stress on the surrounding tissues.

The result? That deep, dull ache or sharp tightness you feel in your lower back after a long day on your feet.

The Fix: If you want to relieve the stress on your lower back, you need to look at your foundation.

Check your athletic or daily walking shoes—look for options with a lower "heel-to-toe drop" to keep your pelvis in a neutral, happy position.

Your body works as an integrated system. Take care of your feet, and your back will thank you! 👣✨

What does "Self-Care" mean to you?

It can mean so many different things to many different people.

Is it quiet time?
Time in Prayer?
Time with loved ones?
Soaking in the tub?
Spending time reading?
Making sure you get your workout in?
Time focusing on your favorite hobby?
Time clearing out clutter? (Less physical chaos = Less mental chaos as well.)
Maybe there's a combo in there somewhere... 🤷‍♀️

Over the weekend and through next week, think about what Self-Care means to you and figure out how you can start spending some time incorporating it each week.
Instead of trying to "remove" something from your routine... Adding small things over time can create bigger changes.

A good reminder that rest and self-care are extremely important!! Take the time for YOU!!

I've been working with a long-time client who has a very high stress job. Not just mentally challenging but physically part of the time as well.
Wanting to help out with keeping their hip complex strong for their work and keeping things more balanced, we started working on some stability/mobility work to keep the smaller stabilizer muscles functioning better, as well as adding in some breathing techniques...
What came next was fantastic!
After a few weeks into these exercises (performing them nightly before bed), the client has reported that they are sleeping like a baby almost every night and is actually starting to wake up BEFORE their alarm in the morning! 😁
It's amazing what the body and mind can do when it gets proper rest! Healing for mind and body happen in REM sleep and if our bodies can't get there... it can be really hard to focus during the day.

I'm so blessed for the opportunity to help you in another step in your journey! Keep up the great work!!
