Celebrate the great outdoors at one of your local USACE lakes.
Before you back the trailer down the ramp, remember to run through your safety checklist and ensure every passenger has a working life jacket.

Update on high winds last night at the Marina and Dry Storage. We did not sustain any major damage, but there are many tree limbs and debris on the ground, so please be aware. All boats are ok, we have a lily pad and a storage cabinet that got away if yours comes up missing. There are a considerable amount of campers that slipped off of their blocks, but nothing blown over and all glass appears ok. We did not have any hail. We will be working over the next several days removing debris and lifting camper hitches. If you need immediate assistance with your camper, please feel free to give us a call and we will get you fixed up!

This weekend is Kansas Free Fishing Weekend! Saturday and Sunday you do not need a fishing license in Kansas, so we have decided to waive our dock fees this weekend too! Come on down 7a to 7p on Saturday and 7a to 6p on Sunday for FREE FISHING! The weather forecast keeps improving, and even if it does rain on Sunday, you can fish here under our roof!

PLUS, we have the kitchen open full swing from 7am to at least 3pm both days! Breakfast, Burgers, Pizzas and Paninis!

As you head out to our lakes and rivers this Memorial Day weekend to honor the fallen and kick off the summer, the USACE Kansas City District wants to remind everyone to keep safety first!

Whether you are boating, paddling, or relaxing on the shore, please remember these three rules:

1. Always wear a properly fitted life jacket and use engine cutoff devices to prevent accidents and propeller injuries.
2.Never swim alone. stick to designated swimming areas and keep children within arm's reach at all times.
3.Stay sober, know your swimming limits, and remember that open water is often much colder and more unpredictable than a pool.

There's no wind! There's no rain! There's no reason that you aren't going to have the most amazing Memorial Day Weekend ever! Welcome to summer y'all! Most importantly, THANK YOU to everyone who made sacrifices so that we can enjoy life in this beautiful land of ours!

We'll be open 7 to 5 on Friday and Monday, and 7 to 7 on Saturday and Sunday. Kitchen will be open 7 to 3:30 Fri, Sat, Sun, and 7 to 2 on Monday! Can't wait to see everyone!

Fishing has been much better the last few days. There are several people catching through the ice and in between the buildings. Take advantage of the great weather this weekend!
