🎃👻 Halloween in the District is taking over EGAD!
And there is A LOT happening! From family-friendly fun to grown-up mischief, creative pop-ups, spooky experiences and surprises tucked throughout the District, there’s something for everyone to get into.

Here’s just a taste of what you’ll find:

🎃 Free Pumpkin Painting for the kids at
🪙 Gold Coin Scavenger Hunt for the adults at Cottage Irish Pub
🀄 Mischief Mahjong at at 6 PM

And if you haven’t experienced it yet, The Dark Garden is Brevard’s choose-your-own-adventure haunted attraction, created right here in EGAD. The Dark Garden is for ages 18+ (or under 18 with an accompanying adult).

🎃 But families get their turn, too! Join us for the Not So Dark Garden on October 24 during Halloween in the District for a family-friendly version of the experience.

We wandered into Verdi EcoSchool to chat with a few of the artists and creators behind The Dark Garden — and honestly, this is what makes EGAD, EGAD. 🎨🖤

It’s the artists who turn an idea into an experience. The makers, creatives, small businesses, nonprofits and organizations who keep dreaming up things that are a little different, a little unexpected, and a whole lot of fun.

🐾 About last Friday night.

October First Friday brought the Mutt Strut back to Eau Gallie Square and despite the Florida heat, you showed UP. 🥵🐶

The creative costumes.
The big personalities.
The crowd cheers.
The happy dogs.
The people who came out just to be part of it.

It takes a community to build a community and nights like this are why we keep showing up 💜

A huge THANK YOU to:
🦁 for sponsoring the 2026 Mutt Strut and supporting our community.
🛍️ Our local pop-ups for bringing their creativity, energy and life to the Square.
🎤 Our host + judges for giving their time and helping make the Mutt Strut so much fun.

🐾The dogs are taking over EGAD!

Join us in Eau Gallie Square for our Annual Mutt Strut, where your pup gets their moment to shine. 🐶✨

Here’s what you need to know:
🐕 Registration: 5:30–6:45 PM
🎉 Parade begins: 7 PM
Enter your pup in one of four categories:
🏆 Most Creative
🐾 Most Like Human
❤️ Best Human + Dog Duo
⭐ Judges’ Choice
The winners from each category will then compete for Best in Show! 👑🐶
