🤿 Lady Luck — Pompano Beach, Florida

One of our favorite deeper wrecks to explore! 💙🌊

Today, Syrena’s Scuba is shining the spotlight on the Lady Luck, a 324-foot tanker resting beneath the waters off Pompano Beach. Once a working vessel, she now serves as an incredible artificial reef and a home for a whole new community of marine life. 🐠🪸

There’s something special about descending into the blue and watching the Lady Luck slowly appear beneath you. The deeper you go, the more the wreck reveals—and every dive can bring a different encounter.

Some of the coolest creatures can be found in shallow water, sometimes just a few feet below the surface!

🦅 Spotted Eagle Ray

Graceful. Mysterious. Absolutely breathtaking. 💙

This Friday, Syrena’s Scuba is shining the spotlight on one of the ocean’s most elegant rays—the Spotted Eagle Ray!

With their distinctive white spots, long whip-like tails, and wide, wing-like fins, spotted eagle rays seem to fly through the water. 🦅🌊

Did you know? 👀

🖤 They often cruise over sandy bottoms and seagrass beds in search of food.

🦷 Their powerful flattened teeth help them crush hard-shelled prey like clams, lobsters, and crabs.

🌊 Spotted eagle rays can travel long distances through coastal waters and the open ocean.

💙 They are generally shy around divers, making a peaceful encounter even more special.

If you’re looking for a dive where the smallest creatures can be just as exciting as the big ones, Blue Heron Bridge is a must-visit! 💙

Located at Phil Foster Park, Blue Heron Bridge is famous for its incredible macro marine life and surprisingly diverse underwater world. What may look like an ordinary area above the water transforms into a treasure hunt below the surface. 🐙🦐🐠

🪸 **Friday Reef Spotlight: The Flamingo Tongue Snail** 🐚✨

Don't let its vibrant colors fool you—what you're admiring isn't actually the snail's shell!

The Flamingo Tongue Snail gets its stunning golden-and-black pattern from its living mantle, a soft layer of tissue that completely covers its shell. When the snail retreats, it reveals a smooth, plain white shell hidden beneath.

These tiny reef dwellers are most often found on sea fans and soft corals, where they feed without usually causing long-term harm to healthy coral colonies. Their brilliant pattern isn't just beautiful—it's nature's way of warning predators that they may not make the tastiest meal.

Next time you're diving, slow down and take a closer look. Some of the reef's greatest treasures are no bigger than your thumb.
