🦞🌊 FRIDAY REEF HIGHLIGHT: THE SPINY LOBSTER! 🌊🦞

Who’s hiding under the ledges and tucked into the reef crevices? 👀🪸 Meet one of Florida’s most recognizable reef residents — the Caribbean spiny lobster! 🦞

Unlike their northern cousins, spiny lobsters don’t have big claws. Instead, they sport long antennae, a spiny shell, and some serious hide-and-seek skills! 🦐✨ You’ll often spot them peeking out from rocky crevices or gathering together beneath the reef.

🤿 REEF FACTS: 🦞 No big claws — those long antennae help them sense their surroundings! 🪸 They love hiding under ledges and in reef crevices. 🌙 They’re mostly active at night, venturing out to search for food. 🌊 They play an important role in the balance of our ocean ecosystem.

Next time you dive with Syrena’s Scuba, keep your eyes peeled beneath those ledges. You never know who might be watching you! 👀🐚

🖤 FRIDAY FEATURE: Creature of the Deep (Spotted Morey Eel) 🖤

Every Friday, we’re shining a spotlight on something fascinating from beneath the surface—and this week, we’re keeping things spooky.

The ocean is full of strange, beautiful, mysterious creatures. Some look like they belong in a fantasy movie… and some look like they were designed specifically for Halloween. 👀🌊

That’s part of what makes the underwater world so incredible.

So whether you're learning to become a mermaid, diving beneath the surface, or creating an underwater fantasy photoshoot, there’s always another world waiting to be explored.

What sea creature would you want to meet—or photograph? 🦈🐙🧜‍♀️

10/14/2026

👻🌊 Beware what lurks beneath…

Not all creatures of the deep are waiting to be discovered.

Some are waiting to be photographed. 🖤🧜‍♀️

This spooky season, we’re embracing the darker side of mermaid magic—mysterious sirens, haunted waters, sea witches, and creatures that belong somewhere between fantasy and the deep blue.

Your costume doesn't have to be ordinary.

Your photos don't have to be ordinary.

Neither should your imagination. ✨
