When we purchased this mountain, we inherited more than ski slopes and buildings. We inherited potential. Potential that required investment, vision, persistence, and a willingness to bet on something bigger.

Every trail widened, every snowgun installed, every building renovated, every late night, and every early morning is rooted in a slightly different question:

CHECK IT OUT. 🏂

It’s hard to believe this was already six months ago when zeb visited us for his and NC Pop Out Tour.

After a week of warm weather, we caught a brief window for snowmaking the day before the event and made the most of every minute. Snowmaking ran around the clock, the terrain park crew worked through the night, and by morning, the custom-built park was ready to ride.

We were honored to be the first stop on Zeb’s tour and hope it’s a tradition that continues for years to come. 🤘❤️‍🔥

More than one season. More than one reason to visit. More than a ski resort.

When we first saw this mountain, we didn’t just see ski slopes and chairlifts. We saw a place where families could return year after year, where memories could be made across generations, and where people could experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge all year-round.

That vision is beginning to take shape.

While lodge and base area expansions are on the horizon, one of the most exciting chapters ahead is Powder Hill — Hatley Pointe’s first residential neighborhood. Featuring some of the only ski-in, ski-out homes on the mountain, Powder Hill will allow guests and future homeowners to become part of this community in a deeper way than ever before.

There is still much more to come, but for the first time, you can begin to see the full picture taking shape.

We’re not just building a ski resort. We’re building a mountain destination for generations to come. 🫶🏻

The bubble is almost complete! 🫧

As y’all know, one of our main projects of this off-season so far has been the install of our 400ft covered surface lift, The Cloudbelt. This has been in the works since last year and we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel (literally).

We’re all so excited to see the impact it’ll have on your experience this winter and for years to come. 🫶🏼

Meet our Snowcats’ new home. 🏠

Our brand new Mountain Ops campus is well underway and let’s just say… it’s even bigger than we expected. This space will give our Mountain Ops team the room they deserve to properly store equipment, service machinery, house our groomers, and keep the mountain running at the level we know it can.

While it may not be as shiny as a new lift, this is one of the most important investments we’ve made yet, and it’s a huge step forward for the future of Hatley Pointe.

(Please ignore the construction mess. Deb certainly is.) 😅

They say you can’t do everything at once... but we’ve never been very good at sitting still.

A brand new 400 ft tunnel surface lift nearly complete, demo of our maintenance building to make way for our much needed Mtn. Ops. Campus, replacing and adding lighting along the slopes, and the start of a huge infrastructure overhaul on our most coveted slopes; Southern Express and Flame Out ❄️

We have plenty more in the works this summer. Stay tuned for what’s next.

WNC’s newest mountain bike park finally makes its debut. We partnered with the incredible local team at to bring this vision to life, and they’ve poured passion, creativity, and serious craftsmanship into every stage of the build.

From flowy beginner laps to technical lines built to challenge experienced riders, this park was designed to give everyone a reason to come back for another run. It’s fast, fun, and built to keep progressing with every lap.

We cannot wait for you all to experience this mountain in a whole new way. 🫶🏼

Lots to do, like opening our new mountain bike park in August (no big deal 🚵), and then there’ll be powder covering the slopes before we know it.

Our new 400 ft enclosed surface lift designed for progression. A smoother, more comfortable way to build confidence before stepping onto the aerial lift.

This coming ski season is definitely going to be the best one yet and this is only the start of our summer projects!

(And yes… Aaron’s parents will be seeing this one too.)
