Executive Chef - Immediate Opening
Sunset Ridge Golf Club is seeking a full-time Chef for the remainder of the 2026 season and beyond. A hardworking, dedicated, team-orientated, reliable and experienced candidate is required. This is a full time seasonal position (April – October) with potential for year round employment a possibility for the right person. The selected Chef will be in a busy environment as a part of a team that would provide casual dining lunch and dinner service, banquets and catering. 40 – 50 hour work week with typically two days off per week and work shifts that are 12 pm – 8 or 9 pm on average.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
· Planning our menu, ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective, and collaborating with the food and beverage staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards
· To ensure success in your role as chef, you should be an excellent leader with great organizational skills and impeccable time management
· Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
· Overseeing all kitchen operations
· Coordinating kitchen staff scheduling, training and assisting them as required
· Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock
· Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
· Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh
· Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Requirements:
· Experience leading a kitchen or assisting in leading a kitchen
· Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
· A team player with good communication skills
· Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
· Reliable, on-time and ready to work for all assigned shifts
· Degree from a culinary school preferred, qualified candidates in progress will be considered.
· Food handler certificate
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range $30,000 - $42,000 DOE – consists of base seasonal salary plus commissions on banquets, events and catering, plus gratuities plus possible performance bonus.

We have a limited number of openings in our formerly MEMBERS ONLY golf league to be played on Thursday evenings this season and are allowing public players. The format is 2 man teams match play for 10 points each night with handicap. If interested please contact us at [email protected] for more details. The league is scheduled to start on 5/14/26 so contact us ASAP. You can sign up alone and we will try to pair you up. Cost for members is $65, cost for non-members is $337 walking $481 with prepaid cart. 16 week season, weekly games and banquet included.

Looks like the 2026 season is finally settling in to daily playable conditions! Current pro shop hours are 8 am to dark until the overnight temps warm up past the point of frost.
