Can’t fake community.
I love to sit and eat with people that I love. That’s it. That’s the whole goal.
Summer Bash is what that looks like in real life. Almost 120 of us out at Tahoe Valley Campground, sharing food, sharing a table, sharing a fire, for days. Jiu-Jitsu is just the medium. The real thing we’re building is each other.
If this place has given you something, the way to pay it back isn’t a thank you. It’s showing up. It’s sitting at the table with someone you don’t know yet. It’s setting the standard high enough that getting better, together, becomes normal, not the exception.
That’s the goal. Sit and eat with people you love. Build people. Give back. Keep the standard high.
