TUESDAY TIP: THE NIGHT BEFORE OPENING DAY

Don’t wait until morning to discover a problem! Tonight:

✅ Shoot a few final practice arrows—don’t overdo it
✅ Check your bow, strings, cables and broadheads
✅ Charge your rangefinder and replace weak batteries
✅ Lay out your clothes and safety harness
✅ Check the wind and weather
✅ Pack your license, tags, snacks and water
✅ Set your alarm—

TUESDAY TIP! BEAT BUCK FEVER!

We have almost all had it and done it! How to we combat that?

What’s your funniest story about hunting and getting that fever?

When that big buck steps out, slow everything down. Take one deep breath, focus on a single spot behind the shoulder, and follow the same shot routine you use during practice.

Don’t stare at the antlers—pick your spot, trust your setup, and make the shot count!

Control your breathing. Trust your training. Squeeze the release.

Gear up. Shoot straight. Stay twisted.

Tuesday Tip🏹🏹

We are 18 days out to start of season… let’s talk planning do you have one?

Your safety and ethical shots are an important.

Have a recovery and cooling plan before taking the shot.

* Hunt cooler periods—early morning or late evening.
* Choose stands with short tracking and dragging distances.
* Carry plenty of water, electrolytes and lightweight clothing.
* Don’t push a poorly hit deer immediately, but remember that warm temperatures make quick recovery critical.
* Once recovered, field dress it immediately and get the meat cooled to 35–40°F as quickly as possible. Bring a cooler and bagged ice with you.
* Take breaks while dragging. Dizziness, confusion, nausea or weakness are warnings to stop and cool down.
