The weather's turning grey, so we found it fitting to relive rodeo with some crisp black and white images from the queen

Which one is your favorite?

I had a blast this weekend at the Rodeo of Champions. Thank you Miss NPRA Royalty for hosting so many Queens. I left on Thursday and attended the kickoff dinner at the H***y Tonk. Joined Micaela Gutierrez for sponsor visit Friday before the first performance. Saturday was a busy day with two performances. Misty was a trooper for our last rodeo and gave it her all. A huge shout out the Jessica Sayward a former Miss Thunder Mountain Queen, and NPRA Queen, she now is the NPRA royalty director. As her first full year in this roll I have to say weekend was very well organized thanks to Jessica and Micaela. It was a honor to represent the Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo this year the the NPRA circuit finals 2026.
Thank you to all of my sponsors I would not be able to attend all of these amazing places without your support.

Rodeo isn’t just something you do. It’s something you become.

It starts with dirt in your teeth, leather in your hands, and a fire in your chest. It carries you through the bruises, the broken bones, the long miles, and the years that leave their mark.

Eventually, the rides get fewer. The body slows down. But the pull of the arena never really leaves.

You trade your spurs for a stopwatch. Your spot in the arena for a seat in the stands. You become the one teaching the next generation what can only be learned in the dirt.

The years change you. Rodeo never leaves you.

Some Friday evening awe + appreciation for our 2026 returning Specialty Act, Proctor ! We love seeing her work with her beautiful horses, and what a treat to have Coulee join in on the fun as well.

What's your favorite trick that these talented ladies perform?

We're entering breast cancer awareness month. Tough Enough to Wear Pink is a nationally recognized grassroots campaign in the western and pro rodeo industry dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and funds for patient support.

We love sharing photos from past rodeos -- do you have pictures of you + your crew in pink? Share them below!

Did you know that Rodeos in the U.S. grew primarily out of the great Southwestern cattle drives back in the 1800s? The men who gathered the cattle and herded them north became known as cowboys, and the skills they needed became core rodeo events.

In Washington, one of the earliest recorded competitions that included events associated with rodeo was May 6, 1890, when Ritzville residents rode out to the O. S. Edwards ranch on Cow Creek to celebrate the annual stock roundup.

Action shots! High School Rodeo is a pivotal step in any young person's journey with this sport. We always love hosting the kids with Washington State High School Rodeo, and this year's group was no exception.

Big thanks to for sharing so many amazing photos -- the galleries are on sale NOW.
