We were recently invited to host a Stretching for Gardeners Workshop at The Morton Arboretum — and saying yes was an easy decision for us. 🌱

At The Rough House, we care deeply about functional movement: helping people move better not just in the gym, but in everyday life. Gardening is physical work — bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, twisting — and taking care of your body matters if you want to keep doing what you love.

It was such a fun opportunity to share practical mobility and recovery tools with members of the community.

In honor of Lilac Time in Lombard, we decided to fully lean into a floral theme this month… which has definitely been a creative adventure!

Last month, we featured snacks designed to keep you fueled—whether you’re crushing workouts, juggling a busy schedule, or just trying to feel your best day to day.

One standout? Our *Pesto Power Meatballs* 👀

Yes… the ones with chicken liver.

We know that might sound like a hard pass at first—but here’s the thing: almost everyone who tried them said the same thing… “Wait, I can’t even taste it!” And that was exactly the point.
