It's a marathon not a sprint.

I see you.

You’re showing up.

You’re putting in the extra work.

You’re trying to do everything you can to get better.

And yet, maybe someone else is getting the innings.

Someone else made the team.

Someone else is getting the recognition.

Someone else seems to be getting the opportunity you’ve been working for.

And it’s really easy to start wondering…

Is all of this even worth it?

Yes. Keep going.

One of the hardest parts about working toward something big is that the work and the reward don’t always happen at the same time.

Sometimes you have to keep showing up for a LONG time before anyone else notices the difference.

And I know that’s hard.

But don’t let a lack of recognition convince you that you’re not making progress.

You’re learning how to be consistent.

You’re learning how to handle disappointment.

You’re learning how to keep your word to yourself.

You’re learning how to work toward something without needing an immediate reward.

Those things matter.

Yes, they’ll make you a better softball player.

But they’re also qualities that will serve you for the rest of your life.

This journey is a marathon, not a sprint.

Don’t get so discouraged by where you are right now that you quit before you get to see where all of this work can take you.

Keep showing up.

Keep getting better.

Keep believing that what you’re doing matters.

You don’t have to be recognized today for the work you’re doing today to be worth it.

Hey Y'all! We had a time yesterday at our 🍁 Fall Ball 🥎 Clinic 💪. These young athletes worked hard on developing new skills and polishing old ones. It was a hot one and they worked through it like champs! We love the clinics because it brings all of our athletes and coaches together to strengthen old bonds and create new ones. A big thank you to the parents for bringing your kids out! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our coaches and other volunteers that make all of this possible! They teach, they encourage, they get fields ready, they pick up trash and do it all with a smile.
