🎓✨ Celebrating Our Legacy Senior Athletes ✨🎓
As graduations comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize three incredible athletes who have officially graduated high school. These seniors have represented Legacy with dedication, leadership, perseverance, heart, and we couldn't be more proud of all they have accomplished both inside and outside of the gym.
💜 Colin Hinds
A graduate of Lafayette High School, Colin has excelled in every area of student life. He graduates with a remarkable 4.89 weighted GPA, ranking 13th in a class of 569 students. Throughout high school, he challenged himself with numerous AP courses, participated in Lafayette’s pre-engineering program, and earned honors including AP Scholar with Distinction, four-time Academic All-American, and membership in several prestigious honor societies.
Colin’s Legacy journey began at just 18 months old in our Parent & Tot program. Since joining the boys team in 2014, he has helped lead Legacy to five consecutive Kentucky State Team Championships. Individually, he is a two-time Kentucky State All-Around Champion and has earned impressive accomplishments on the regional and national stage, including an Eastern Nationals event title and a top-10 finish at the National Championships.
In addition to competing, Colin has shared his passion for gymnastics as a coach, serving as Head Coach of our Level 7 boys iin the 2025-2026 season. This fall, he will attend LSU to study architecture while continuing to pursue excellence both academically and athletically.
💜 Kenny Bueno
Kenneth "Kenny" Bueno graduated from Frederick Douglass High School with a 3.94 GPA and a class rank of 12 out of 431 students. His academic achievements include multiple AP and dual-credit courses, three consecutive years as a USA Gymnastics Academic All-American, earning the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and English, and serving as a Senior Ambassador for the Biomedical Science Academy.
For more than 14 years, Kenny has been a dedicated member of the Legacy family, competing at the state, regional, and national levels. A three-time national qualifier with multiple top-10 national finishes, Kenny has consistently demonstrated the determination, resilience, and work ethic that define successful student-athletes.
His leadership extends far beyond gymnastics. Through National Honor Society, Student Council, DanceBlue, and peer tutoring, Kenny has devoted countless hours to serving his school and community. His fundraising efforts alone helped raise more than $27,000 for pediatric oncology and hematology research.
This fall, Kenny will attend High Point University as a Biology major and Natural Science Honors Fellow as he pursues his goal of becoming an orthodontist.
💜 Hayden Rand
Hayden graduates with a perfect 4.0 GPA and will attend the University of Kentucky this fall, where she plans to major in Biology on a pre-med track. Since a young age, Hayden has been passionate about medicine and helping children, with aspirations of becoming a physician specializing in pediatric cardiology or pediatric neurology.
Over her seven years in gymnastics, Hayden has brought enthusiasm, determination and positivity to every practice and competition. As an Xcel Diamond athlete, she has consistently led by example, embracing challenges with confidence and encouraging those around her along the way.
Known for her kindness, perseverance and unwavering support of her teammates, Hayden has made a lasting impact on our program. She credits her parents as being instrumental in her gymnastics journey, and we know they share in the pride of all she has accomplished.
Congratulations, Colin, Kenny, and Hayden! Thank you for the years of hard work, leadership and memories you've given to Legacy. We can't wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish in this next chapter. Once a Legacy athlete, always a Legacy athlete. 💜🎓✨
