Reflecting on 10,000 bikes repaired

Every day since 2018, you all have been bringing us bikes that need a little love, and last week, we hit a milestone: repair #10,000. Every single one of those repairs has a story behind it. Hundreds of flat tires fixed before the weekend, spokes replaced right before a cross-country tour, Christmas gifts restored to their former glory, bikes pulled from dusty corners and revived for another season of fun and fitness, weight loss and fitness goals blown away, car-free lifestyles, and more. Every single repair and story ticked upward to 10,000.

We are so grateful and humbled by the trust of all of you since 2018 who have entrusted your bike ride to us, and of course there’s not enough space for *every* story, but let’s start with number 10,000: re-wrap the handlebars on a singlespeed, custom road bike. Not all that interesting or unique on its own, but the story behind the repair order is way more interesting: we were repairing some scuffs and scrapes after a crash. Guilis has been upgrading his bike bit by bit all summer, and bringing us along for his cycling journey. It’s always fun to help someone as they discover the joy of ridin’ bikes, and I think it’s very fitting to share the story of repair ticket #10000.
