Went down to the Chickahominy River and finally put an ABSOLUTE TANK on the bank! 🎣💪

There’s nothing quite like that moment when you realize the fish on the other end of the line is different. The fight, the adrenaline, and then finally seeing that monster hit the bank… UNREAL.

And just like that, I’ve got a NEW PB! 🏆🐟

All the miles, long days, late nights, lost fish, tough trips, and hours spent chasing these river monsters make moments like this worth every second.

For nearly two years, I’ve been chasing a new personal best on the Rappahannock River. I’ve made countless trips, explored new water, and even spent time fishing from a boat, all in pursuit of one goal.

At the beginning of this year, I challenged myself to break my personal best on every river I fish. The Rappahannock was the one that seemed like the biggest challenge, and I honestly wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it from the bank.

Then, on my actual birthday, everything came together.

My Mad Katz Black Widow loaded up in my custom Takedown Rod Holders setup, and after an unforgettable fight, I landed my new Rappahannock River personal best—all from the bank.

This may not be the biggest fish I’ve ever caught, but it’s one of the most meaningful. It represents patience, persistence, and believing that if you keep putting in the time, eventually the river rewards you.

Goals don’t always happen on your schedule, but they do happen if you refuse to quit.

Here’s to chasing the next one. 🎣

There are fishing trips… and then there are nights like this.

Captain Frank put me on an unforgettable birthday trip on the Susquehanna River, and we absolutely put the Mad Katz rods to work. It was one of those rare nights where the fish just wouldn’t stop biting. So many hookups that I honestly lost count, multiple double-ups, and plenty of tanks made it into the boat.

I was proud to be rocking my 4 Reel Fishing gear while spending my birthday doing what I love most—making memories on the water with great people and chasing big catfish.

A huge thank you to Captain Frank for an incredible trip. This birthday is one I won’t be forgetting anytime soon!
