Wow what an amazing time at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway this past week for Michigan Cup!! Tons of laughs and fun!! Definitely was great to be back home to race!! Before getting into details on how the racing went I would like to give a shoutout to Donnie Ritter and his staff and crew!!! They did A LOT of work and spent numerous hours just to get the track and facility ready for us to even be there!! Now let’s add in how smoothly everything went with having a record breaking amount of cars on the property!! 257 total cars!!

Now for the racing recap:

Unfortunately only Brad was able to race this weekend due to mechanical issues for both Jaxson and Peyton.

Friday had 2 rounds of qualifying for the division. First season Brad went out to get a feel for the track and laid down a respectable time of 19.3. Made a minor adjustment and went back out and changed a little bit on the driving style and bettered his time to 19.0

Saturday there was also 2 additional rounds of qualifying for the division, and Brad wanted to go out another time just to see if he could go faster. After that session Brad laid down a fast lap of 18.9 which was good for 43rd fast out of 114 cars. This landed him in the B feature, and in one of the faster heat races.

Time for the heat race Brad started 2nd row inside. Brad would battle hard for many laps for 3rd place before getting a little loose allowing a couple cars to pass. Settled for a 6th place finish.

The B feature was ran on Sunday as one of the premier features. Brad started 5th row inside with a 28 car field. At the drop of the green Brad knew right away his car was down on power for some reason, but that didn’t stop him from doing his best. Staying clean and running smooth he was able to finish 18th out of 28. Later he found out he lost his alternator belt and the car started to overheat causing the lack in power.

Overall it was a good race weekend!!

It’s officially MICHIGAN CUP WEEK!!!! This team maybe down a couple of cars for this event, but we will be coming in strong!!!! Definitely ready to be back at our home track!!! Everyone get yourself trackside this weekend at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway!!!!

Race recap 9/13:

Peyton and Brad made it to the track for Harvest at Corrigan Oil Speedway.

During qualifying Peyton set a fast lap at 17.0 in the first session and Brad set a fast lap at 16.2. During the second session Peyton developed a motor issue and had to pull off and Brad ran just about an identical time.

The crew worked hard trying to fix Peyton’s car so he could race, but unfortunately was not able to get the car going.

Brad started deep in the 22 car field for the first of two features. Brad battled his way from the back up to 4th then a late race caution came out. After the choose option Brad restarted 2nd. After battling for the lead car got a little loose and allowed a couple cars pass. Brad battled back to finish 5th in the feature

For the second feature Brad started deep in the field again. This time he became a ping pong ball with the other cars at the beginning of the race with everyone trying to win the race on the first lap… On lap 9 Brad got caught up in a wrong place wrong time situation ending his night with significant damage.

Ever wanted to help out a race team? Here’s your chance!! The end of the year show at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway is October 2nd through the 4th!! There is a lot that goes into this show, so there is a lot needed to make it successful!! Both Peyton and Brad will be racing that weekend!! Jaxson’s car unfortunately has a repair that has needed his season early!! Below is the help that is needed if you could help in anyway possible:

Peyton:

Oil change (5 quarts of Royal Purple 10W30) & oil filter
$100 entry fee (3 day pit fee + registration)
$40 fuel for race car

Brad:

Race recap Friday August 28th at Corrigan Oil Speedway:

Due to mechanical issues with the 11 of Jaxson and the 99 of Peyton only the 6 of Brad was able to make the trip, and oh boy what a night it was!! Now for the good parts!! Yup that’s right PARTS!!

For qualifying Brad SMASHED his personal best lap at Corrigan in his now 13th year of racing with a fast lap of 15.992!! That put him the fastest car in the B feature!!

First up was feature race #1!! Brad started sh***un on the field knowing he only had 15 laps to get to the front.. To the front is what he did!! On lap 5 of 15 Brad found himself out front and never looked back locking up the win for feature 1!!

Next up was feature #2!! Again Brad started sh***un on the field with 20 laps being the distance of this race! Brad made it up to as high as 2nd early in the race, but settled down into 3rd for the entire rest of the race battling hard trying to get back up to 2nd!!

By far the best night of racing for Brad in 2026!!

Race recap from Sunday May 31st!!

Peyton and Brad went out for qualifying and ran some very smooth laps!! Peyton set a fast lap of 17.008 and Brad set a fast lap of 16.326 landing both in the B feature.

Peyton started on the outside pole while Brad was 4th row inside at the start. Peyton quickly grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag leading the first lap before settling into second place. Brad battled quickly through the field into 3rd place, and on lap 3 going into turn 1 getting ready to battle for 2nd with Peyton was drove into by the 4th place car causing enough damage to Brads car that he had to pull into the infield to finish watching the race. Peyton continued to battle hard running the best race he has ever ran at Corrigan Oil Speedway!! When all said and done Peyton finished 11th and Brad was a DNF 15th place.

Caught You Looking Racing is off the 12th in preparation for Jaxson’s graduation party on the 14th. All 3 drivers will be back in action on the 21st of June at Corrigan Oil Speedway for Slugfest Series race #2!!
