Race recap from Sunday May 31st!!

Peyton and Brad went out for qualifying and ran some very smooth laps!! Peyton set a fast lap of 17.008 and Brad set a fast lap of 16.326 landing both in the B feature.

Peyton started on the outside pole while Brad was 4th row inside at the start. Peyton quickly grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag leading the first lap before settling into second place. Brad battled quickly through the field into 3rd place, and on lap 3 going into turn 1 getting ready to battle for 2nd with Peyton was drove into by the 4th place car causing enough damage to Brads car that he had to pull into the infield to finish watching the race. Peyton continued to battle hard running the best race he has ever ran at Corrigan Oil Speedway!! When all said and done Peyton finished 11th and Brad was a DNF 15th place.

Caught You Looking Racing is off the 12th in preparation for Jaxson’s graduation party on the 14th. All 3 drivers will be back in action on the 21st of June at Corrigan Oil Speedway for Slugfest Series race #2!!

Race recap from May 22nd at Corrigan Oil Speedway:

Peyton and Brad went out for qualifying and laid down some good quality laps during the second round of qualifying locking both in the B main races. Peyton qualified with a 17.039 and Brad with a 16.363 fast lap.

During the first feature Peyton was running very well before getting taken out twice during the race and had to settle with a 10th place finish. Brad was battling up front trying to make the pass for 3rd, but coming to the white flag his foot slipped off the throttle causing him to fall back to 8th place.

During the second feature Peyton started on the pole and held the lead for a couple laps, and was running the best his car has ran all season so far before the car started to bog down and had to pull into the infield and watch the rest of the race. Brad started a couple of rows back in the field, and quickly found himself running 3rd again and very closely behind the 2nd place car. Brad ran out of laps and settled for 3rd place.

Huge thank you goes out to Misty Casaday and Chrisanna Robison making a quick trip to the parts store at the beginning of the night, and to Scott Weasal Casaday for the help on getting the correct fuel pressure set on the car after the 1st qualifying session didn’t go so well!!

It’s never too early to mark the calendar for one of the best weekends of the year.

Michigan Cup ###VII will be back at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway October 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 2026.

We’ve got more details coming soon, but we wanted to get the dates out there so everyone can start making plans now.
