We want to give a shout-out to Carson, Dylan and Julian for being great bat boys during the city tournament held at Lansing Eastern yesterday. The weather wasn't great but they had a great time helping the schools out.

There's not much to be said that hasn't already been said. If you were not fortunate enough to have your life directly impacted by this man's presence you could bet there was an indirect one. A true definition of an authentic man and a legend. You will be missed by so many.

Still proud of these guys. They came into this league last year and really struggled to make things happen. While the win loss column wasn't in their favor last night we can't wait to see what the rest of the season will be.

Calling all kids ages 7-14: The Lansing Parks and Recreation is hosting an MLB Pitch Hit & Run event at Ferris Park on July 18th!

Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run is a free event that provides boys and girls -- ages 7 to 14 -- an opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills, while earning a chance to attend and perform during the MLB World Series!

Athletes are tested, and their measurements are recorded. Based on their scores, they advance from a local event to a regional competition held at Comerica Park. Top scores then qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to compete at Finals, which is hosted at the World Series.

It's been a few weeks since a program update, so it's time to catch everyone up.

-Partnership

March and April consisted of creating the teams and a partnership with Lansing Parks and Rec for the 2024 Spring MMPL season. The partnership has provided mutual benefits including field time, jerseys, equipment, an additional youth sport activity for the community, etc. One noticeable aspect of the partnership, is the name on our jerseys.

Posts will contain reference to the Lansing Capitals, and that is representative of the partnership between our org and LPR.

If it becomes easier in the future to create additional social media accounts, we will do so at that time. We will still be highlighting our teams and their growth here and on our web page.

-Org Officers

With the official creation of our organization we (the Board of Directors) are required to have a couple of our officer positions filled. Any position of officer is crucial for the success of an organization. Their positions will require time dedication outside of games and practices. This includes a minimum of one monthly meeting and/or planning for various activities, including general admin and fundraising needs. Currently we are seeking a VP and at least a secretary.

Applicants are subject to a vote by the board of directors (Jason P., Quinn C.P., and Violet P.).

If this is something that you are interested in or would like to know more information, please reach out to our email. DM’s may not be reviewed.

Last but not least, thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding with our growing pains!
