Every great story starts with someone willing to take a chance.
For Pocono Axe Works, that someone was Mark Crouthamel.
Long before the leagues, bullseyes, celebrations, and unforgettable nights with friends, there was a vision built on hard work, creativity, craftsmanship, and a genuine love for bringing people together.
Many of you knew Mark through Sculpted Ice Works or Buehler’s, where his talent transformed ordinary moments into lasting memories. Whether he was working with ice, building a business, or creating a space for people to gather, Mark had a gift for turning ideas into experiences and customers into friends.
That same spirit became the foundation of Pocono Axe Works.
Over the years, this place has become more than a venue. It’s been a first date spot, a family outing, a league home, a birthday celebration, a team-building event, a place for pre-wedding celebrations, a mobile axe-throwing experience that comes to you, and a place where countless memories have been made.
Today, we take a moment to look back with gratitude at the journey that brought us here.
As our paths have grown, Sculpted Ice Works has continued on as its own company. While it was once our sister company, we’re excited to watch it thrive independently, carrying forward the same creativity, craftsmanship, and passion for creating unforgettable experiences that helped inspire so much of our story.
And as the next chapter of Pocono Axe Works begins under Logan Crouthamel’s leadership, one thing remains unchanged: the commitment to community, family, hard work, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.
The faces may change. The story keeps growing.
We’re proud of where we’ve been, grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey, and excited for where we’re headed next.
Here’s to the legacy that built it.
Here’s to the community that supports it.
And here’s to the future we’re building together.
The story isn’t ending.
It’s just getting started.
We are the dreamers.
Here’s to the next chapters.
