That’s a wrap! ⚾💙💛

What started as an idea to bring future Vikings together turned into something truly special.

Over the last several weeks, these young men competed, learned, grew, and most importantly built friendships that will carry with them into their high school careers. Watching them represent Lago Vista with pride and seeing the support from our parents, coaches, players, and community made this program more successful than we could have imagined.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this vision and helped make it happen. Whether you volunteered your time, cheered from the stands, spread the word, or simply encouraged these players along the way—you made a difference.

This is only the beginning.

We are excited to announce that we will be continuing the Lago Vista High School Integration Program next year and will be looking for the Class of 2031 (current 8th graders this coming spring) to join us.

I’m already working with several other high schools to build an even bigger and better schedule for next summer, creating more opportunities for our future Vikings to compete, grow, and prepare for high school baseball.

Thank you again for making this inaugural season one we’ll never forget.

💙💛 Pitching Staff Spotlight 💛💙

It was a dominant night on the mound as the Vikings combined for a complete team effort in a 15-4 victory over Marble Falls.

⚾ Mason Melber earned the win with two strong innings to set the tone.

⚾ Nakona Goodnight came in and kept the Mustangs quiet, allowing just one hit over two innings.

⚾ Calvin Gruner attacked the zone with a scoreless inning, recording two strikeouts.

⚾ Tate Phillips slammed the door with a clean final frame to secure the win.

Together, the staff limited Marble Falls to just 3 hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 6 as the Vikings rolled to an impressive team victory.

Victory tastes even better together. 💙💛

After a big 15-4 win over Marble Falls, the Vikings made one final stop before heading home—taking over Chick-fil-A in Marble Falls.

This program has always been about more than baseball. It’s about building friendships, creating memories, and growing together as teammates. Nights like these are what these players will remember long after the final out.

Proud of the way this group has represented Lago Vista on and off the field. One more game to go—let’s finish what we started.

An outstanding team effort from start to finish. The bats stayed hot, the defense made the routine plays, and the pitching attacked the zone all night. Even more impressive than the score was the way this group has grown together over the course of the High School Integration Program.

Lawrence Phillips has been a steady force on the mound for the Vikings this summer. In just 5.0 innings, he faced 22 hitters, earned a winning pitcher decision, recorded 5 strikeouts, with a 2.80 ERA, and limited opponents to a .235 batting average.

The future of Lago Vista Baseball is bright, and two Class of 2030 players are helping lead the way this summer in the Lago Vista High School Integration Program.

🔹 Logan Willson ( #27)
Logan has put together a strong summer at the plate, hitting .312 with a .389 OBP and .764 OPS. He has collected 5 hits, including a double, scored 8 runs, driven in 2 runs, and has yet to record a strikeout. His ability to compete every at-bat, put the ball in play, and create offense has made him a valuable piece of the Vikings lineup.
