Think getting injured means you need to stop everything?

Not necessarily.

While rest has a place in recovery, prolonged inactivity can contribute to stiffness, muscle inhibition, and decreased tissue capacity.

The right movement provides the body with the stimulus it needs to continue adapting and healing.

The goal isn’t simply to rest until the pain goes away. It’s to restore movement and build the body’s ability to handle the demands you put on it.

🚨 3 things runners do after an injury that can make things worse:

1️⃣ Completely stopping movement
2️⃣ Using heat on an acute, irritated injury
3️⃣ Aggressively using a massage gun on already irritated tissue

More isn’t always better, especially when tissue is already aggravated.

Instead of guessing at what your injury needs, figure out what’s actually causing the problem and address it appropriately.

Your recovery should have a plan, not just a pile of things you found on the internet. 😂

Why does the same injury keep coming back?

Sometimes the problem isn’t just the original injury. Poor tissue remodeling, scar tissue, restricted mobility, and repetitive movement patterns can all contribute to repeated stress on the same area.

If you keep treating the pain but never address why the tissue keeps getting overloaded, the cycle can continue.

The goal is to restore tissue mobility, improve mechanics, and help the injured area tolerate the demands you put on it.

Stop chasing the same injury. Find out why it keeps coming back.

Knee pain doesn’t automatically mean you need to stop running. 🏃‍♀️

Sometimes the issue is how your body is handling the demands of running. Whether that’s quad function, mobility, running mechanics, or even worn-out shoes.

Instead of telling you to stop doing what you love, we want to figure out why the knee is hurting and address what’s contributing to it.

The goal isn’t less running. It’s better movement so you can keep running.

Not every injury needs a head-to-toe adjustment.

Our approach is simple: assess the injury, identify what’s contributing to it, and treat what actually needs to be treated.

Whether it’s your knee, shoulder, back, ankle, or anything in between, the goal is specific treatment that improves movement and gets you back to what you love.

More treatment doesn’t always mean better treatment. The right treatment does.

Those first few steps in the morning shouldn’t be something you dread. 👣

Morning foot pain is commonly associated with plantar fasciitis, but the plantar fascia isn’t always the only structure involved.

Calf tightness and limited ankle dorsiflexion can increase mechanical load through the plantar fascia and contribute to symptoms.

That’s why we look beyond the painful spot and assess the entire kinetic chain.

Treat the contributing factors, not just the symptom.

Weakness isn’t always a strength problem.

Pain inhibition, restricted soft tissue, altered joint mechanics, nerve irritation, or impaired neural activation can all affect force production.

Before adding more weight, figure out why the muscle isn’t performing normally.

The right treatment starts with the right assessment.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make after an injury? Stopping all movement.

Yes, rest has a place in recovery. But too much rest can leave you feeling stiff, weak, and even more limited.

The goal isn’t to “push through” pain, it’s to find the right movement at the right time to help your body heal and get you back to doing what you love.

What you do between treatments matters, too.

Movement is part of recovery. 🏃‍♀️
