Do you ever feel like something's off in a relationship... long before you're ready to admit it?

Our emotions, hopes, fears, and past experiences can make it so hard to see things clearly. 💭

In this episode, I sit down with relationship coach and "Is He Worthy?" author Dave McLachlan ( ) to talk about bringing more clarity and self trust into how we choose and navigate relationships.

Dave opens up about how his own difficult divorce led him to create the Worthy Method, an unemotional relationship assessment built to help women get clear on what truly matters to them, define their non-negotiables, and see more objectively whether a relationship fits the life they want.

We get into:
✨ Why we override our intuition
✨ How emotions cloud what we already know deep down
✨ Why recognizing our own patterns is key to making different choices

Ever notice how the right decision rarely feels good at first?

It feels shaky. Uncertain. Sometimes even wrong.

In this episode, I get into why that discomfort isn't a red flag, it's often just part of the process. Between caregiving, health challenges, and recovering from hamstring surgery, I've had to make plenty of decisions that felt anything but peaceful in the moment.

We talk about why busyness can be a way of avoiding the hard stuff, how self judgment convinces us we've gotten it wrong, and why clarity almost never arrives before the decision does. It shows up after, once we've already moved.

The right decision doesn't always feel peaceful.

Sometimes it feels lonely.
Sometimes it feels uncomfortable.
Sometimes it comes with guilt, grief, or the fear of disappointing someone you love.

But discomfort isn't proof you chose wrong.

Emotional freedom isn't about feeling good after every decision. It's about learning to trust yourself and stay with yourself after you've made it.

💬 Over explaining is often just seeking permission in disguise.

Self-trust grows the moment you stop abandoning yourself because someone else reacted.

I get personal in Episode 121 of the Forgive Yourself Podcast, from leaving an unhealthy marriage to making the hardest call of my life: moving my husband into memory care.

Self-forgiveness doesn't erase the past. It turns it into wisdom.

And real freedom? It's choosing yourself without losing your compassion for others.

For years I heard, and even believed, that acceptance was the answer.

But between caregiving, health challenges, and now recovering from hamstring surgery, I've learned something important: sometimes acceptance feels impossibly far away.

In Episode 122 of the Forgive Yourself Podcast, I'm sharing the gentler path that has changed how I approach healing. Instead of forcing ourselves to "just accept" painful realities, what if we first became aware, gave ourselves permission, practiced compassion, and then found our way to acceptance?

We'll dig into why busyness can become a way of avoiding ourselves, how self judgment keeps us stuck, and why understanding isn't the same as approval.

This season of slowing down has taught me that healing happens one compassionate step at a time. 🎧

In this week's Forgive Yourself Podcast episode, I'm sharing the gentler path that has transformed how I approach healing. Instead of forcing ourselves to "just accept" painful realities, what if we first became aware, gave ourselves permission, practiced compassion, and then found our way to acceptance

We'll explore why busyness can become a way of avoiding ourselves, how self-judgment keeps us stuck, and why understanding isn't the same as approval. I'll also share how this season of slowing down has taught me that healing only happens one compassionate step at a time.

Emotional freedom does not always begin with a big life change.

Sometimes it begins with one honest moment where you stop leaving yourself behind.

It begins when you notice guilt without letting it lead.

It begins when you trust your decisions, even when they feel uncomfortable.

For the month of July on the Forgive Yourself podcast, I explored emotional freedom through three conversations:

1️⃣ 119: The Freedom to Stop Leaving Yourself Behind
2️⃣ 120:The Freedom to Choose Without Guilt
3️⃣ 121: The Freedom to Trust Your Decisions

Together, they create a path back to yourself.

Because emotional freedom is not about becoming someone entirely new.

It is about no longer abandoning the woman you already are.

Listen to the Emotional Freedom episodes wherever you listen to podcasts.

Remember that you matter.

Why does guilt show up the moment you start honoring yourself?

If you've ever set a boundary, said no, chosen rest, or spoken your truth only to immediately wonder if you were being selfish... this episode is for you.

In this week's episode of the Forgive Yourself Podcast, I explore the difference between healthy guilt, which invites growth and repair, and old pattern guilt, which pulls you back into people-pleasing, self-abandonment, and outdated roles.

I share why guilt often intensifies when you're growing, how your nervous system can mistake self-honoring choices for danger, and why someone else's disappointment doesn't automatically mean you've done something wrong.

Through personal stories, compassionate insight, and reflection questions, you'll learn a new way to respond to guilt. One that helps you stay connected to yourself instead of returning to old patterns.

Are old wounds keeping you from trusting yourself?

Discover how self-trust is the key to healing the "father wound" in the latest episode of Forgive Yourself Podcast.

The conversation looks at how the father wound can distance us from our feelings, needs, and truth, and how self-trust helps bring us home to ourselves.

Healing isn't about blaming or forcing forgiveness. It's about understanding what you needed, how unmet needs shaped your life, and choosing to offer yourself the compassion and validation you craved.

You don't have to keep chasing approval or proving your worth. Self-trust isn't about being perfect, it's about honesty, listening, and choosing what honors you.

True freedom comes from becoming the safe place you always needed: setting boundaries, celebrating your progress, and trusting yourself one small choice at a time.

You matter. Start coming home to yourself and transform old wounds into fresh self-worth. Tune in now.
