What an incredible season for Delaney McGurren! ❤️⛳️🎉

For the second consecutive year, Delaney competed at the UIL State Golf Tournament. An accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to her craft. Reaching this level of competition is no easy feat, and we could not be more proud of everything she accomplished this season.

Delaney continues to set the standard for our program both on and off the course. This year, she earned her third consecutive District Championship and once again proved herself as one of the top players in the state through her consistency, toughness, and competitive spirit.

Beyond her success in golf, Delaney has been an incredible leader for our team. As our captain, she has been the perfect role model for her teammates and younger players. She is driven, disciplined, organized, compassionate, and kind to everyone she meets. Delaney leads by example every single day. Always encouraging others, making everyone feel included, and helping create such a positive culture within our program.

Us coaches are proud of the growth we’ve seen from her as a golfer, student, leader, and young woman. The countless hours she has poured into this sport and this team do not go unnoticed, and her impact on our program reaches far beyond scores and tournaments.

Next year brings a new challenge as we transition into 6A competition, but we have no doubt Delaney is ready for it. Her determination, work ethic, and heart will continue to take her far, and we are so excited to see what her senior season holds.

What an incredible finish to our Hays Girls Golf season!💥

Our team competed with so much heart at the Regional Tournament in McAllen, finishing in the top half of the field and improving by an amazing 62 strokes from our district tournament. On what was arguably the toughest course we played all year, and in difficult windy conditions, these girls dug deep and delivered some of their best golf when it mattered most. ⛳️✨

Delaney McGurren: 77, 76
Isabella Esquer: 90, 89
Mackenzie Sada-Nieto: 101, 96
Alysyn Murray: 97, 103
Kate Pittman: 116, 106

We are especially proud of the individual stories within this team effort.
Delaney once again led the way and punched her ticket to State, continuing to show the consistency and competitive spirit that make her so special.

Isabella, as a freshman, stepped onto one of the biggest stages and absolutely held her own. A huge accomplishment and just a glimpse of what is ahead for her!

Mackenzie gave us a senior season with a wonderful finish!

Alysyn has put together a wonderful stretch of performances over the past few weeks and competed so well at the highest level!

Kate improved her Day 2 score by 10 shots!

This group showed true grit, resilience, and pride in each round. We could not be more proud of the way they represented Hays, each other, and our program.

Congratulations on a phenomenal season, girls. The future is bright — and next year, we’re moving up to 6A! ⛳️

STATE QUALIFIER!!💥There are not enough words to express how proud we are of Delaney!!

With rounds of 76 & 77 at the Regional Tournament in McAllen, Delaney McGurren is once again a STATE QUALIFIER. Year after year, Delaney continues to show what is possible through heart, grit, determination, and relentless hard work. No matter the stage or the pressure, she rises to the moment, and this week was no different.

Her success is no accident. It is the product of countless hours, unwavering dedication, and the kind of toughness that sets her apart. Watching her compete is such a joy, and watching her earn this opportunity again makes us incredibly proud!

Delaney, your hard work always pays off, and this moment is so well deserved. We love you, we believe in you, and we cannot wait to cheer you on at State!!! 🎉🎉🎉⛳️
