Yesterday our team of Klamath Basin athletes competed at .united National Championships. It was an amazing day of powerlifting with all of our athletes doing a great job. Here are some photos from the weekend. Results below.

Miela Azamar took first in 60 kg Juniors and 4th in Open with a total of 295.5 kg setting a state record squat, and state and national records in bench, deadlift and total.

Zachary Chase took second in 75 kg Juniors with a total of 292.5 kg.

Brayden Deitz took first in 75 kg Juniors with a total of 317.5 kg.

Serenity Gomez took first in 56 kg Juniors with a total of 200 kg setting a state record squat and tying the state record deadlift and total.

Jace Peterson took first in 82.5 kg Juniors with a total of 502.5 kg setting state records in squat, deadlift, and total.

Avery Price took first in 82.5 kg Juniors with a total of 445 kg.

Dominic Rose took second in 75 kg Juniors with a total of 360 kg.

This weekend, Saturday May 16th, 7 local powerlifters will be competing in San Antonio, Texas at .united National Championships. The meet will be live streamed on the Powerlifting United YouTube Channel. Many of these athletes started out as powerlifters with the Brixner Powerlifting Club and they qualified for Nationals at the 2025 PLU Crater Lake Clash. See their names below.

We had our Spring Meet today finishing up Brixner Powerlifting Club for this school year. We had some excellent high school students come ref and spot and load which made today’s meet successful. We’re very thankful for their help.

Congratulations to Serenity Gomez for placing first in Jr High Girls with a DOTS Score of 210.28. Olivia Walker took second place with a DOTS Score of 179.19 and Alex Paul took third with a DOTS Score of 166.05.

Congratulations to Keegan Basden for placing first in Jr High Boys with a DOTS Score of 248.76. Noah Helquist took second place with a DOTS Score of 211.13 and Zachary Chase took third with a DOTS Score of 191.68.

We just have one more meet this year. The Crater Lake Clash II on June 20th. Can’t wait to see everyone there! It’s the best meet of the year!

We had our seasonal strongman competition today. Our athletes tested their grip strength, back strength, and shoulder strength. Keegan took first, Uriah took second, and Jacob took third.

The Crater Lake Clash II is coming up soon! This meet is a great experience for powerlifters of all levels. It was a big success last year and is going to be even better this year.
