Gary's Striper Guide Service - Lake Texoma Guided Fishing for Striped Bass, Stripers, Lake Texoma I have been guiding on Lake Texoma for 25 year with the last 10 being full time.

My clientele can include a group of guys looking for a "men only trip" or a family wanting to spend time together and creating memories. And all of this without the personal expense of a boat and the equipment. I believe time on the lake is rewarding but it is my goal to provide a memorable fish catching experience. I have a long list of clients and testimonials to back this up.

Today I fished Roy and Karen Jones. Along with their grandson Danny and his friend Alex. Long boat ride and overcast skies was morning layout. But once we got to the right place it was non stop action until we ran out of bait. I still enjoy taking kids like this that have never experienced this type of fishing action. Once they got the hookset down it turned into a major competition for them. Thank you Roy for bringing the group down. The mornings have been okay temperature wise but the afternoons are very hot. Today I fished Richard and Pam Beers from Choctaw Ok. Weather was decent with overcast clouds just about all day here. Lots smaller fish on the first stop and moved around to several places before getting a chance at some better quality fish. First time for them to do this. Today I had a 4 boat trip for the Chad Hines group from OKC. Travis Hardin, Dakota Summit and Blake Toews were the other guides on the trip. Fishing was tougher for us today. We ran all over this lake to put together a decent box of fish. Ended up being a great day on the water with some happy fishermen. The heat is definitely starting to show itself each day. The group shot was only a small part of the people that fished today. Just incase the game warden is counting fish. Stay cool. Thanks for following.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES ALLEN!!! Hope you have a good day my friend. James and his wife Brenda are the owners of The Woods Cabins in Kingston Ok. James was a striper guide at Catfish Bay for a very long time until he started the motel business. I have pages of stories that me and him have written in our minds from the guide business. I wishing him a happy birthday today but I’m also asking for a favor from you. This is something that he would never ask but I am. James is going through a very difficult time with his health. It’s hard for him to do anything that you and I take for granted. So I’m asking for special prayers for James and his family while they try to navigate through his health issues. Great morning to be on the water. Today I fished a very long time friend. Alex Yaffee and crew. His mom was a teacher at Westmoore when my boys went there. We finally figured out the math and his first trip with me he was ten years old. His dad Blake and my dad had fished together for years. Alex brought his girls down and they did a great job. We caught long fish early and then went to a couple of places to burn some bait. Once the sun started heating up it was time to go clean. Early morning is definitely the pattern right now. Today I fished my long time friend Rick Olson and his family. His sister Teresa and his daughter Rachael and her daughters Carolina and Nora. It was windy this morning but nothing like the last 3 days. Made a long run with the rest of the guides and it was well worth it. Topwater and quality schooling fish was a game changer compared to recent trips. Rick is coming off a shoulder surgery. I’m hoping this didn’t set him back some. Lol. What a great time with these folks today. Lots of fun and we wore the little ones out. Thanks Rick for the trip and your twenty plus years of friendship. I’m off for a few days so I won’t be in the way for the holiday crowds. Be safe and Thanks for following.
