We have had our last classes this week. The students are prepared. We have sat at the end of class to discuss schedules, reminders and they are ready.

A few have even worked on their own lists- so proud ❤️

Your dancer left class this week with a reminder note for dress rehearsal on Saturday, QR code for purchasing tickets and a recital present.

This year’s recital present is a pair of sunglasses. These are something my mom wore pretty much, everyday, all day her last month and half. It seemed fitting to have them as a recital present. People said she looked like a rock star and that’s what all of you are. Now let’s go Rock this recital on Sunday!

We will honor the ultimate dance mom on Mother’s Day. We will celebrate my mom, Mrs. Annie ❤️

Tomorrow we open our Winter Session with a huge hole in our hearts. My mother passed away on Jan. 4th after a hell of a fight with cancer. She has been a part of The Dance since it was Kari’s Dance Factory 1984. She is the ultimate dance mom- sewing costumes, wrangling back stage and working the desk until there was no more desk. In our mobile days you have seen her presence less, that is until the costumes arrived. One of my young dancers has asked” Who is going to do our costumes, now?” This recital season I will need more support to get us through. We will honor our Mrs. Annie, our Gram to all- through dance with our heart and soul. It will be rocky, I know, but it’s time to start classes. Recital is either the first or 2nd week of May, confirmation coming soon.

Great job at Children’s Day today, I’ll post videos as people send them to me or just post and tag me. If you missed us, we perform again at Community Day at the College of the Florida Keys Saturday, Nov. 1st at 12:00. See everyone back in class, we have class until Thanksgiving Break.
