You can register for all classes at this location. We have been teaching all styles of dance to Key Westers and visitors alike since 1983! We offer professional dance and fitness instruction to all ages (3yrs & up) and skill levels year round with weekly classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical, HipHop, PreBallet & Tap Combo, Bellydance, Afro-Caribbean Dance, Zumba®, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Aerial Arts, Pole Fitness Training, Flexibility Training, Creative Movement, Towards Ballet & Hippity Hop (for our tiniest dancers). The CoffeeMill Dance Studio strives to provide a fun and encouraging learning environment through quality instruction and a varied class schedule. Whether you have been dancing for years, are just starting out, are looking to get back into it, or are just looking for a fun alternative to your normal workout routine there is a class for you! We also rent space, offer private lessons, dance workshops, choreography services, performance opportunities and wedding dance instruction. A cultural haven in the dance community, director Penny Leto says, "You never know which talented artists are going to walk through our doors." The CoffeeMill also serves as home base for the CoffeeMill Young Dance Collective (CYDC). The CYDC is Monroe County's only pre-professional student dance company and operates under the non-profit Merging Ideas Developing Arts (MIDA). Led by Kara Querio, Penny Leto and guest choreographer/CoffeeMill ballet director Joseph Goodman, the selected young dancers ages 8-18 are offered academy-like study and discipline with a rigorous syllabus in the Russian-based Vaganova technique and take multiple classes in all styles of dance. The CYDC will present their annual concert an “Evening of Dance" in Spring 2025. The company also travels to workshops and conventions throughout the year. The CoffeeMill Dance Studio Celebrates 42 years of dance in Key West this coming year and will proudly present their annual spring dance concert DanceWorks 22! May 17 & 18, 2025 at the Tennessee Williams Theatre. This year will feature a ballet plus other Contemporary, Jazz, Hiphop, Modern, Salsa, Bellydance and Afro Caribbean dance pieces. Children enrolled in the dance program will have the opportunity to perform in this special dance concert and bring together the best works produced by students, faculty, and professional dancers as they collaborate on an astounding celebration of dance.
