📢September 1st in Softball Recruiting: What it IS and what it ISN’T!

🥎Sept 1 of junior year is when DI softball coaches can start recruiting contact (calls, texts, emails, visits). It’s an exciting time, but it’s not the end-all, be-all many think it to be.
Outside of the Power 4, many offers arrive late junior year or even senior year. MANY of those phone calls are just that, not actual offers. It's often where the conversation begins, but often not an offer day. Stay the course.

🚨Remember:

DI: First recruiting contact = Sept 1 of junior year.

DII: Coaches can start recruiting conversations June 15 before junior year.

DIII/NAIA: Contact can happen earlierbut often happens in junior and senior years.

If your phone is quiet on Sept 1:

You’re not behind. Most athletes commit well after that date.

Control what you can:

Pursue colleges that are the right fit for you.

Keep sending those emails, videos, stats (academic and athletic!)

Keep making those X posts...

🏁Bottom line: Sept 1 opens doors; it doesn’t close them. There are great options at every level. Don’t overthink or over-stress; own your process, bet on development, and keep reaching out.

What a way to finish the summer. 🥎💙💛

Our final 18U tournament of the summer is officially in the books, and what a summer it has been. From Houston to IDT in Colorado and everywhere in between, this team continued to grow, compete, and prove they belong.

These young women didn't just put themselves on the map—they put Texas Intensity Gold 18U on the map. They battled some of the best competition in the country, created lifelong memories, and represented our organization with heart, grit, and class every single weekend.

This weekend, we finished 3-2 while showcasing our talent in front of some incredible college coaches. More importantly, we showed exactly who we are and what Intensity is all about.

Now it's time for a little well-earned rest and relaxation before school and turning our focus to an exciting and busy fall season. The work never stops, and neither do we.

Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and everyone who supported us throughout this unforgettable summer.
