With the start of a new season of Schreiner University Rifle, we also begin recruiting the next generation of Mountaineer shooters!
We are actively recruiting high school student-athletes for the 2027–2028 academic year who want to continue their education while competing in collegiate rifle.
And yes—Sporter shooters, we want to hear from you too!
If you currently compete in Sporter Air Rifle and want to continue shooting in college, don’t assume collegiate rifle isn’t an option for you. If you have the desire to learn, develop, and make the transition to collegiate precision shooting, we encourage you to reach out.
At Schreiner, we are working hard to build a competitive program and a strong team culture. We are looking for student-athletes who are coachable, committed, academically focused, and ready to work and develop.

2. What are you looking for academically and athletically in a college?

You don’t have to arrive as a finished collegiate shooter. You need to arrive ready to learn, work, compete, and grow.
