Owned and operated by the City of Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation, Line Creek Community Center and Ice Arena is a 34,000 square-foot family recreation center located in Frank Vaydik Park surrounded by woods and bordered by Line Creek. To the south of the center are two baseball diamonds and a soccer field. To the north is the ever popular KC Northern Miniature Railroad. The center and arena are located off I-29 and Waukomis Drive. Adult Skills & Drills was hopping today with 24 skaters who really wanted to learn and play! We worked on Stickhandling without looking at the puck and we got an outstanding effort from all. It showed in the Scrimmage as the players found their targets while moving!

The highly anticipated September calendars are here… And with a fresh new look, might we add! 👀👀 With school starting and practices starting back up, some schedules have shifted.

🗓️ Building hours for Monday September 7 will be 7a-4p! Please see calendars for Public Skating, Freestyle and Stick and Puck times!

Tonights Aug.18th Adult Skills & Drills @8:45pm will be an Adult Stick Time. Coach Jimmy left, ill. The cost will be $14 for tonight. We will be back next week for the final Tuesday addition. Sept.5th we will switch to Saturday's from 10:00am -11:15am.

⚠️🏒🥅 The Stick and Puck Calendar has been updated!

And with that Summer 2026 is coming to an end! As always check the calendars very carefully, especially towards the end August. Please note the following:

🗓️ Home School Skate will make its return Friday August 28 from 9a-10:30a.
⛸️ The Monday afternoon Freestyle session will return to 1:45p starting August 24.
⛸️ The Friday morning Freestyle session will end at 8:30a starting August 28.
🏒 Tuesday August 25 will be the last Tuesday Adult Skills and Drills… Starting September 5 Adult Skills and Drill will move to Saturday mornings from 10a-11:15a!

Come beat the heat and get some last minute summer fun in before school starts! We hope to see you soon!
