Owned and operated by the City of Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation, Line Creek Community Center and Ice Arena is a 34,000 square-foot family recreation center located in Frank Vaydik Park surrounded by woods and bordered by Line Creek. To the south of the center are two baseball diamonds and a soccer field. To the north is the ever popular KC Northern Miniature Railroad. The center and a

And with that Summer 2026 is coming to an end! As always check the calendars very carefully, especially towards the end August. Please note the following:

🗓️ Home School Skate will make its return Friday August 28 from 9a-10:30a.
⛸️ The Monday afternoon Freestyle session will return to 1:45p starting August 24.
⛸️ The Friday morning Freestyle session will end at 8:30a starting August 28.
🏒 Tuesday August 25 will be the last Tuesday Adult Skills and Drills… Starting September 5 Adult Skills and Drill will move to Saturday mornings from 10a-11:15a!

Come beat the heat and get some last minute summer fun in before school starts! We hope to see you soon!

What better place to come cool off, as the temperatures outside are supposed to hit the 90’s this week! 😎☀️ Come enjoy a break from the heat and humidity this July with some ice skating… Yes we know the irony of that statement! 🏒⛸️ As always, check the calendars very carefully. With a much needed break, but a very productive one at that, and the unofficial summer already in full swing… We’re ready for a busy summer! 😎☀️⛱️🌊

📝 Please note some of the following changes for June:
➡️ Tuesday evening public skating will start at 6p and Thursday public skating has been extended to 7p for the month of June. Saturday June 20 we will have a Father-Daughter Skate see calendar for more info. (Flyer with details to come)
➡️The next session of Learn To Skate KC July 7 (Tuesday) and July 9 (Thursday)!
➡️ ALL Monday-Friday Afternoon Freestyle sessions will start at 2p. Friday morning Freestyle sessions have been extended. See Calendar for more info!
➡️ ALL Stick and Puck sessions we will NOT be allowing lessons or scrimmaging on. These sessions are strictly for stick and puck handling! See calendar for more info.
➡️ ALL Open Coaching, Freestyle, Adult Stick Time and Stick and Puck sessions will be limited to 20 skaters!

🌊 Line Creek Pool Opening Update 🌊

Due to our lifeguards finishing up finals, the pool will be closed Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th.

The pool will reopen on Thursday, May 28th.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!
