Check out the latest update from our Director of Agronomy, Frank Conrick:

Toward the end of July, we were beginning to count down the days until our maintenance staff began losing summer employees; we lost 3 as of August 1st, for a variety of reasons, mainly to college.

We are smack dab in the middle of what we call “The Hundred Day War” with Mother Nature. This time period primarily consists of the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Staying on top of everything is always difficult as we begin to lose our summer help while battling what Mother Nature deals us.

We did find a few days to get a truckload of sod laid, replacing some worn-out areas on multiple tees and a few approaches. The newly sodded tees will be opened at the beginning of August as the roots take hold and we get the height of cut down to tee height.
