🥊 Remembering “Smokin” Joe Frazier born on this day 12/1/1944.
Former Olympic gold medalist and undisputed heavyweight world champion... he was the first man to defeat Muhammad Ali during his professional career in what was billed as ‘the fight of the century’ the two men would fight one of boxing’s greatest trilogies of all time.

Champions aren't made in the ring, they are merely recognized there. What you cheat on in the early light of morning will show up in the ring under the bright lights.

You can map out a light plan or a life plan, but when the action starts, it may not go the way you planned, and you're down to the reflexes you developed in training. That's where roadwork shows - the training you did in the dark of the mornin' will show when you're under the bright lights.

Life doesn't run away from nobody. Life runs at people.

I believe in doing a job of work, not talking about it. I don't think a man has to go around shouting and play-acting to prove he is something. And a real man don't go around putting other guys down, trampling their feelings in the dirt, making out they're nothing.

'When I was a boxer in the 1970's, I was hit in the face by Joe Frazier, knocked out by Muhammad Ali, and knocked down a couple of times by Ron Lyle before I got up and won. All of the fights had one thing in common: When they were over, I could hardly remember the pain. I forgot my weak knees, the cuts, the blood in my eyes. Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield have partnered up to create “Holy Ears”, edibles in the shape of an ear.

Mike Tyson said “If i was on cannabis, I wouldn't have bit his ear,” referring to the 1997 fight when the boxer bit Holyfield’s ear.
