He was fined $360K for missing a game they lost in preseason not regular season or playoffs it’s preseason. He didn’t even show up for training camp because he’s dead locked in negotiations with the Philly organization trying to get a new contract. The spineless players union isn’t going to try to get his money back, they just left this brother out to dry? Now the media was saying he was a can’t miss athlete coming out of LSU, but go back and look at the film who did LSU dominate when he was there ? How far did they go in the NCAA tournament ? Showtime clearly won this weekend fight card All fights were competitive and let’s start with the undercard Ancajas vs Rodriguez was a classic at 115 i think they should fight again you can get a trilogy out of them and no fan would be disappointed. 2nd fight was good as well Thomas Dulorme vs Elmanata Stanionis at 147 it was a good scrap but Stanionis is going to need more experience and more rounds he only has 13 fights , strong puncher but he has bad hands he told his corner in the 6th or 7th round he hurt his hands 😬 also his stamina needs to be up he was visibly tired and also you could hear him breathing heavy. Then came the main event , let me set this up right Lipinets has only been knocked down 1x in his career and he’s never been stopped until last night! Ennis announced to the world he was in the 147lbs and there’s gonna be trouble. The dude had a 7” arm reach he destroyed lipinets and closed the show with a beautiful upper cut that left him out for a few min. This dude is real business my goodness

This wasn’t a bad fight it was entertaining but it was at light heavyweight and 2 things #1 Nobody knows who these guys are and #2 there’s only 2 Americans in that division in the top 10. Plus the division makes no sense at times because kovalev (who’s ranked #3 )was brutally knocked out by #8 Alverez then Kovalev beat him in a rematch but he just to Canelo in a FAF fight but he still ranked #3 despite having no fights in nearly 6 months. But back these two fighters it again wasn’t a bad fight it was the #4 guy vs the #9 guy really entertaining but i would have liked to see Smith in their with Marcus Brown 23-1 with 16 KO’s the guy has a 75.6” arm reach him and Joe Smith would have been a better fight he’s 1 1/2 taller than Smith and Smith has 1/2 inch in arm reach advantage. They both have KO power it would have been a better fight because there’s a level of danger involved. But this was entertaining it just wasn’t enough showtime card was lit from top to bottom

🤪🤪 the loveable losers of the night DAZN the entire card was mismatches and the main event was no different Connor Benn was the heavy favorite and they are building him up like this destroyer at 147 and it’s totally not the case. This is what makes me sick about European boxing these guys fight journeymen and bums have these 23-0 with 23 KO’s and they’ve fought nobody. To paint you a picture of how bad Samuel Vargas has faded in 2014 Errol Spence Jr was a fight for him at that time Spence 15-0 the end result TKO in 2016 he was stopped by Danny Garcia TKO in 2018 he lost an Unanimous decision to Amir Khan 🙄 Amir Khan who was washed up by that time. In 2019 he lost to Luis Collazo in 2020 he was knocked out by Vergil Ortiz Jr. So he’s coming off a 9 month layoff and a brutal knockout and this is your main event? Really? DAZN sucks so bad it makes no sense if you’re still paying for this service please stop.

Is Trey Lance the next big thing at QB in the NFL ? In the precious pro day outside of Justin Fields Dominance ( which i told you the kid was really good but i digress) they say in his pro day he lit it up and had on lookers pleased with his various throws and it happened just as the 49ers moved up to #3 in the draft and Atlanta is looming at 4th both teams are in the Market for QB’s he was hurt last year so there’s a lot of questions around him but is it possible Trevor Lawrence could be the bust of this draft rumors are flying around about other QB’s just stay tuned

Just my opinion i don’t think Carlik Jones is ready for the NBA i think he should stay one more year. He’s 6”1 he’s long and can clog up passing lanes he’s a 40% FG shooter he shot 13% against Virginia in a 10 point beat down he shot 28% against Clemson in a 4 point loss 23% against Boston College which the cards got a 9 point victory he’s just 2 inconsistent to think about pros when you have to be consistent every night. Out of 19 games he had only 4 games where he shot 50% again he’s just not ready, it’s not a jab at him or anything he just never put the ville on his back and established himself as the go to guy in clutch maybe this year with Mack he can cement that role but he definitely needs to come back. Let me know what you think should Carlik go pro or does he need a year ?
