Love being able to share this wonderful picture and story with you! Last weekend, we hosted the "Fore the Future" tournament, and we were graced with 92 year old Bill Perkins golfing in it. 🏌‍♂️

His age and ability to swing his clubs are amazing in itself, but the story is even more special, knowing he is one of the oldest surviving golfers from the original Waumbek golf course. ❤️

⛳🐴 Tournament Tuesday at Waumbek Golf! 🐴⛳

We're proud to once again host the Stable Connections Annual Golf Tournament on Sunday, July 19th, with an 8:00 AM shotgun start. This special event supports the incredible work being done by Stable Connections in Guildhall, Vermont.

Founded in 2011, Stable Connections has provided hope and healing to more than 3,000 adults and children throughout northern Vermont and New Hampshire through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning. As the only certified facility offering these services in the region, they create opportunities for emotional growth, mental wellness, education, and healing through the unique connection between people and horses.

Stable Connections is also the only equine facility in northern New England to receive EAGALA's Military Services Designation, allowing them to better serve veterans and military families facing mental health challenges.

Whether you're a golfer looking for a great day on the course or someone who wants to support an organization making a real difference in our communities, this tournament is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.

⛳ The time has come to get your young golfer out on the course and learning the game right here at Waumbek Golf!

Join us for our Junior Golf Camp, July 13–17 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. For $325, participants will enjoy a full week of instruction, skill-building, fun, and friendship, all culminating with lunch at Fenn's Way on Friday.

We are honored and excited to host the Mitchell "No Big Deal" Emery Golf Classic this year at Waumbek Golf Club.

This special tournament was created in memory of Mitchell Emery, who lost his battle with Glioblastoma in December 2022 after courageously fighting the disease for 10 years. Throughout his journey, Mitchell never complained and always maintained a positive attitude, inspiring everyone around him.

Near the end of his battle, Mitchell participated in a clinical trial. When asked if he would have chosen to do it knowing how difficult it would be, his answer was simple: "No, because even if it doesn't help me, maybe it can help someone else later on."

That selfless spirit is the foundation of Fairways for Families, a charitable nonprofit established to honor Mitchell's legacy. Through fundraising efforts like this tournament, the organization provides support to individuals and families throughout Coos County, neighboring Vermont communities, and the Littleton area who are facing cancer or other medical crises.

This tournament is more than a day of golf—it's a celebration of Mitchell's life, his generosity, and the lasting impact one person can have on a community. We look forward to welcoming participants as we come together to keep Mitchell's legacy alive for years to come. ❤️⛳
