The training sessions in our In-Season Mountain Athlete plan are designed to supplement your on-mountain performance. Long mountain days mean you get plenty of moderate-paced endurance work, uphill movement under load, rucking, and eccentric (downhill) leg strength training.
What you are not getting is total body strength, focused chassis integrity strength and strength endurance, short, intense work capacity, and aerobic base training. The training sessions in this plan address these fitness attributes.
