BOARD ELECTIONS

Looking to increase your involvement at the track? Board Elections are coming up in October!

We are accepting nominations through 5pm on September 30th. All positions are two year terms and are up for election in odd years.

To qualify for election to the Rum River BMX Board you must by September 30th of the election year:

- Have at least one member of the household, adult or child hold a current membership with USABMX;
- Be an eligible voting member
- Declare Rum River BMX their home track
- Be an Active Volunteer or Board Approval by majority vote; and
- Not hold a board position at another USABMX sanctioned track.

Nominees need to submit an explanation of why they would be a good fit for the position and a brief description of their personal and professional background to MJ McGowan at [email protected]

These brief statements will be posted ahead of voting at the October Association Meeting.

Board positions and description that are up for election are listed below.

Vice President: shall perform the duties of the president in his/her absence.

Communications Director: shall be responsible for the timely dispersal of information on the various media used by the Track.

Secretary: Shall ensure meetings are effectively organized and take accurate meeting minutes. Maintaining effective records and administration. Uphold the legal requirements of governing documents. Provide communication and correspondence to the board.

Track Maintenance Director: shall be responsible to work with the Track Director on the upkeep and maintenance of the track, and track rebuilds.

Volunteer Coordinator: shall be responsible for recruitment and training of new volunteers, recognizing and tracking appreciation of volunteers, and shall be a liaison between the board and volunteers.
