Why do we offer Real Pilates® Teacher Training at Era Pilates?
I’ve been part of many teacher training programs over the years. There are so many well-intentioned programs out there, but I often felt something was missing when it came to preparing teachers to actually step into the industry feeling educated, confident, and ready to teach.
When I take on and accept a teacher into our program, my goal isn’t simply to train someone who can eventually teach only at Era Pilates. I want to develop a well-educated, highly skilled teacher who is prepared to walk into any Pilates studio and be ready for the job.
Being part of the Pilates community in Indiana, I want to help create the highest-quality Pilates teachers in our area. Teachers who understand the system, know how to work with real clients, and have the skills and confidence to build a successful career in this industry.
Choosing to become a Real Pilates® Teacher Training host wasn’t the easiest path. Teacher training is a lot of work. I mentor our trainees every week, review homework, answer questions, oversee their hours, and stay involved throughout the entire process. This is not a seminar, only training. It is an immersive education.
But that involvement is exactly why I wanted to do this.
Our very first RPTT cohort is coming to an end, and seeing how much these teachers have grown has made all of that work worth it.
I’m so excited to continue this journey and keep raising the standard of Pilates education here in Indiana. 🖤
