What an incredible first night of Buddy Ball! ⚾💙

Buddy Ball, NKB’s adaptive baseball program, officially kicked off the season with tons of energy, smiles, and unforgettable moments. This program gives children and young adults with specialized healthcare needs the chance to enjoy baseball in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment — and tonight showed exactly why it matters.

Our players learned all about bunting, practiced their throwing, and took some awesome swings during hitting practice. The excitement on their faces said everything.

A huge shoutout to the Tri‑State Baseball Bombers 14U team for volunteering tonight! Their encouragement and enthusiasm made the experience even more special for every participant. We’re so grateful for their support.

To wrap up the evening, everyone got to enjoy a fun activity with NERF blasters, adding a perfect burst of laughter and joy to end the night.

We’re proud of every participant and thankful for the buddies, families, volunteers, and Bombers players. Here’s to an amazing season ahead! 💛⚾💙

Registration is now open for Bambino Buddy Ball 2026. Bambino Buddy Ball is NKB's adaptive baseball program for children and young adults with specialized healthcare needs that may not be able to participate in a traditional league.

Buddy Ball is offered at no cost to families and will be coached again this season by Ryan Koller with the assistance of high school baseball volunteers. Players receive a customized jersey, hat, and end of the year award.

Registration is open on the NKB website and please feel free to share with families.
