Another epic day out on the canyon. Both boats had limits of halibut and lingcod, with some big bonus rockfish. On outlaw it was our best grade of halibut this year. 2 fish over 30lbs with the smallest around 22lbs.

The halibut bite was a little finicky today but the fisherman’s gold electric eel crushed the lingcod and the rockfish! Book your freezer filling trip at Gambler Charter. We will be back at it Thursday, Friday, and Sunday! Open seats available each day.

Facelift complete! Big thanks to the guys at Blue Seas Fabrication up in Burlington. They squeezed me in right before the season and did a fabulous job. I couldn’t be happier with work and how easy they were to work with. I went with the SeaDek HD. My legs and back will be much happier this season!

Gambler Charter

Fantastic first halibut trip today on the gambler. It started off slow but when the tide changed the halibut started to CHOMP! We had all our butts on one drift and most in about a 20 minute stretch. Took a few hours to get our lings but the Fisherman's Gold 32oz jig heads with the eels did the job when we finally found them. ocean was great so it was worth it! We had a great crew that did fantastic! Jed is back at it tomorrow while I head up north to pick up the Outlaw now that the boys at blue seas have finished up her facelift.
