We’re happy to announce we’ve secured a new location coming January 2026! Martial arts AND tumbling classes!

Fall Classes are in session now at our temp location on Fletcher Street! Please send us a message and we’ll get you in for training!

🚀 Rocket City Tumbling Academy is flipping into a new chapter!

Their mission is to create a supportive space where kids can grow strong tumbling skills that translate into dance, cheerleading, martial arts, acrobatics, and beyond.

Soon, they’ll bring that vision to life in their new home at the former Walmart Neighborhood Market on Oakwood.

Another belt test down! And I had my first two graduates who completed all ranks and testing requirements for my 5/6 program and move to 9th Gup in our 7-12 program. 😭

I just have to brag on my S.T.O.R.M team members today! I set up a quick lesson plan for our beginner class, and they took full control of teaching today! 🤯 I monitored each student, and aside from making small suggestions for the mentors to work with, I got to enjoy watching class run and just motivate our students.

🌩️⚡️S.T.O.R.M ⚡️🌩️ is our student leadership program. Students attend a monthly meeting to learn new teach tips and habits, and then apply these lessons learned in hands-on training with our kids classes.

Our STORM team is all about turning students into top-notch leaders by letting them lead classes, a skill that translates into the real-world. This month’s lesson: “Coach Yourself” - mastering accountability, crafting action plans, and stepping up as leaders. Today, our leaders are learning to look at themselves objectively, identifying ways they can improve, and setting up their action plans for this coming month!

Jason and I are excited to host summer camp this year at the Matrix! Jason has planned out some awesome camp theme.

Be on the lookout for gymnastic classes soon! We have some equipment being delivered in the next few weeks. We are working as fast as we can to get the program up and running!

The Matrix became a reality on March 31, 2008 after two years of planning and construction. This 40,000+ square foot facility was born out of the necessity for a state-of-the-art tumbling, trampoline and cheerleading facility in the North Alabama region. With one family's vision and the numerous talents and determination of many others, The Matrix is now the only facility in North Alabama offering so many programs under one roof! Students and parents alike will find not only a place to train and lead a physically fit lifestyle, they will find a staff that cares about them and their family. The entire staff focuses on making sure that every child is reaching their full potential, while practicing teaching progressive skills through safe and proven training methods.
