Testimonial Tuesday I’m Ashley Duncan. You may have seen me around recently as I joined Legit last December.
I first decided to join a gym on Mother’s Day back in 2022. I was tired of being overweight and riddled with health issues. I’d failed all the diets. I did the at-home workouts. I joined the gym with no real expectations other than, “Let’s see what happens.” I promised myself that I’d keep showing up, even if it was just walking on the treadmill. I’d show up.

Almost 3 years later, I’ve lost and kept off 60lbs. I’ve put my autoimmune disease into remission. I’ve completely turned my health around so I can be active and present with my family. I will never be perfectly healthy, but I can be the best I can. The gym has given me my life back. I’ve learned I can do hard things. I am capable of more than I realize.

The gym is my happy place. I can lose myself in the weights. It’s my “me time” when I don’t have to be someone to anyone. It’s okay to fail in the gym.

I still don’t have any goals. I still show up. I still, “Let’s see what happens.” ❤️
