Adding a resistance band to the kettlebell swing changes the game.

Unlike a regular kettlebell swing, where resistance decreases as the bell begins to float, the band creates increasing tension throughout the movement. That means you have to accelerate harder through hip extension and continue producing force all the way to the top.

The result? Greater power output, improved rate of force development, and stronger transfer to athletic movements that demand explosive hip drive.

If you’re going to train the swing, then overload the swing.

🚨 MEMBER OF THE MONTH: CAROLYN 🚨

Honestly, we tried really hard not to pick Carolyn.

Unfortunately, she keeps showing up, working hard, being supportive, and casually doing things in the gym that make the rest of us question our life choices.

So while many of us would like to file a formal complaint about how strong, consistent, and talented she is, we have no choice but to celebrate her this month.

Congrats, Carolyn. We hate you. ❤️

Working from multiple kneeling variations to build force, body control, and powerful first-step mechanics — and she’s absolutely owning it. The way she attacks the ground on that first step is exactly what translates to faster acceleration on the field. 🥎💨
