What a day for the Judges — and the fan section absolutely brought the energy!

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, girlfriends, family friends, and even special guest ’25 Captain Eddie Zanor packed the stands and gave the team an electric boost. The mojo from the crowd was real, and the Judges fed off it all game long.

💥 Final: Brandeis 6, Trinity 2

Brandeis held Trinity to just three hits over nine innings to secure the Judges’ first win of the season in New England and improve to 5-0, the program’s best start since 2020.

The Judges were efficient at the plate, scoring six runs on seven hits, including four extra-base hits.

On the mound, the staff delivered a dominant performance:

🔹 Andrew Tringe – 5.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 4 K to earn his first win of the season.
🔹 The bullpen of Brady Lane, Jack Sweeney, and Gavin Cooper slammed the door, combining for 4.1 hitless innings with five strikeouts, allowing just one harmless baserunner each.

With the win, the Judges are now riding a six-game winning streak dating back to last season, the program’s longest since 2022.

Brandeis heads to Mass Maritime on Saturday for a noon doubleheader in Buzzards Bay after tomorrow’s scheduled game vs. Dean was postponed.

"Skourides, making his first appearance since his rookie season, went five innings in the Judges' season opener against CCNY, striking out eight and walking two, without allowing a hit. He and Jackson Herzog combined to toss a seven-inning one-hitter, as the Judges won 13-0. The pair faced just four batters over the minimum against the Beavers."

What an incredible four days in Orlando! The team came out swinging on all fronts — offense, defense, and pitching — and finished the tournament 4‑0, showing just how strong this squad is.

The energy wasn’t just on the field — more than 30 family members (parents, grandparents, siblings, high school friends — and even a family dog!) cheered on the Judges every inning. Special thanks to alum Sean Decker‑Jacoby ’24, now in operations with the Tampa Bay Rays, for joining us and supporting the team.

And a special highlight of the weekend: the Judges faced Coach Tony Deshler ’11 from Castleton University, one of the most decorated Brandeis players and an equally successful assistant coach on several nationally ranked programs, in his first head coaching position. Congratulations, Coach Deshler!
