Without a kiss and a nut-tap did you even catch a bonnet head? These sharks are my absolute favorite. They’re grippy, strong, look really cool, and don’t tear up the tackle. This is about as long as we keep them out of the water and it swam away nicely. Excellent bycatch.

WHOA!!! WTF?!?!🚨 . Here is a picture of a customer and I holding a tarpon out of the water. I’ve done this 3 times (over a decade ago) and all of which were horrible. There’s just no way a fish can survive fighting for its life, coming to the boat exhausted, and being held out of the water. Think about it, the tables were turned, we would certainly die. Just don’t do it. Learn from other people’s mistakes, like mine. Leave large fish in the water. Respect the resource. Respect the game. Kindly encourage others to do the same. Before you roast me mercilessly, check out the trolling motor. Before remotes were a thing!
