FACTS…. I’ve been dealing with insulin resistance for over three plus years now…..along with an elevated A1C. Finally, my endocrinologist decided to test my fasting insulin as a final ditch effort because…..I kept pushing that there has to be more to this problem than hormones….. aka, menapause!!! I started wearing a glucose monitor, reversed the order of how I ate my food and started moving my body for 10 to 15 minutes after dinner. By just making these changes, I lost about 6lbs pounds and started feeling better. However, it didn’t completely fix my insulin resistance. It can be tricky, triggering fat stores an jumping up your inflammation! My markers were so high… I have gotten them down to a better number, but I’m still a work in progress. Now my endocrinologist is working with me on other options. I am telling you about this so that you can be your own advocate and demand the help you deserve. *On a side note, I do highly recommend finding a functional medicine doctor as your first step .

Focus on a good healthy diet, movement … walking, and lifting weights a few times a week. You will see the difference. I promise ❤️.

There is a right way and a wrong way to use peptides. They are a wonderful tool to help you improve your overall health. Especially if you are diabetic or have A1c inflammation issues. I cannot stress enough, the importance of eating enough and lifting weights. If you do this protocol, you will actually lose more body FAT and maintain muscle !!  The key is you have to do it the right way. If you need any help being successful or setting a plan in action, don’t hesitate to reach out.

I want to address the newest trend that seems to be going on. I am all about being lean and fit, not skin and bones. I am also all about quality longevity.

In order to have the best quality of life, you need to fuel your body and build the muscle around it, to support it. God created us into thse beautiful beings. While I know ad women, it is easy to fall into a rut where you want to be “skinny” …… there is a good skinny and a bad skinny. I promise you, if yo fuel your body, stay hydrated, move and get adequate rest, the rest will follow. We are such a busy society, that we forget to take care of ourselves. What is crazy though , is we have enough time to look at our phones, to watch TV or socialize….. but somehow we forget to have time to do the things that matter most…..Taking care of ourselves. 

I hate to keep preaching about this, but it seems we need another reminder.

You guys …. This is such a concern‼️. I can not stress enough that this is not pretty, sexy or HEALTHY!!! Quality of life is important and this is not worth it!!! I’m all about being a healthy weight and wanting to be lean, but this is going too far. Please take a min and look at what God created just for you. He created a beautiful healthy woman not a bag of bones. Muscle gives you strength to carry those bones … when that is gone the body will eventually give up.

I know there is a thing called “food” noise. However, there is some good to having a little of it. It tells your body when you need fuel. Just like when your gas light comes on in your car. Peptides serve a purpose and most people may not be aware that we actually have and make our own peptides. As we age, they slow, or the cells become damaged due to our lifestyle by an imbalance, due to poor food choices or quality.

Love your body. I’m begging you!!!! Please fuel it, do some movement and add in some weights if you can. I’m beyond passionate about this. So much so, that I am willing to help/coach someone for free if need be. ….if you need help, reach out. We will work something out .

Love yourself enough. Because I love you back.

This is not a fear post. This is reality. Movement and lifting weight is the key to longevity with quality! I don’t know about you …., but I like quality. It’s like clothes…. If you buy good quality they will last a lot longer . Love y’all …. Let’s do this thing called life the right way.

Daily tips

30g protein per meal
35g fiber daily
Drink a lot of water 60+oz
Get some sunshine

Lift weights 2-4x a week
