History and Facts of Hemet Golf Club
Designed by Brian Curley and Lee E. Schmidt, Hemet Golf Club winds through a gorgeous senior Four Seasons neighborhood. Picturesque foothills of Diamond Valley as well as the highest mountain peaks in Southern California, reaching up to 12,000 feet make up the backdrop for this par 71 - 18 hole golf course. ses rating is 71.1 with a slope of 121. Before Hemet Golf Club opened its doors to the golfing community in 2003 this land was owned by Dan Blocker and known as Blocker Ranch. Some of the opening scenes of Bonanza were filmed at Lake Hemet in 1959 as well as many episodes filmed here in our valley. As you play 1 thru 18 you can notice an out west country feel, and see how the course used to be themed from this show. Today Hemet offers competitive green fees, new golf carts with geo fencing and yardage findings from anywhere on the fairway. The course offers a practice green for putting, and a driving range.
