Story time.

Below is an exact replica of Ed’s original Sneakreaper patch that he had made years ago in Tijuana at a small embroidery shop. He added adhesive Velcro to the back so he could run it on his plate carrier. You may notice this doesn’t look like the current Sneakreaper logo—and you’d be right. This is the no bound hands version, the very first iteration that Ed wore for several years while operating.

The logo eventually changed to the bound hands version because of an incident involving Ed’s teammates. A group of his co-workers were abducted by bad people and placed in restraints. While restrained, one of Ed’s teammates was able to access his knife and fought back, stabbing and killing as many of his captors as he could. Tragically, all of the abducted teammates lost their lives, but one man chose not to go easy and took as many with him as possible. The bound-hands logo exists to honor that act and that man.

Until now, the only way to get the no bound hands version was to be one of Ed’s co-workers back in the day, or occasionally when Ed and I (Eddie) used it for personal items. For a very limited time, we’re offering it to you—with a catch, and we’re asking everyone to do this the right way.
