Next up in the spotlight, Emily!

Emily started gymnastics when she was 6 years old at ABC Gymnastics. Although she has only been at Dunne’s for a few years, she has been such a great role model to our younger athletes. She leads by example through all the hard work she puts into each practice.

Emily’s list of accomplishments in the sport is nothing short of remarkable. She is a 2 time state beam champion, regional beam champion, and a 3 time National Qualifier! And her favorite event is… you guessed it— Beam! She also really enjoys vault and competed a beautiful full twisting yurchenko layout on vault this year at Nationals, scoring a 9.45!

Although she spends a large chunk of her time working out, when she is not at the gym she likes to hang out with friends and family, or participate in something creative.

As Emily graduates high school, she will be attending Long Island University to continue her gymnastics career, and will also be studying biology.

Emily, the hard work you’ve put into everything you do, is what makes you so amazing. Em, as you continue on to this next chapter, know that you have a big support system cheering you on from Dunne’s. Congratulations!

Next up, Allison Wojnar!

Allie started gymnastics when she was 3 years old, right here at Dunne’s gymnastics. Although relocating brought her to a different gym for part of her career, she ended her last couple seasons right back where it all started.

Allie has had a career full of accomplishments. Some of her favorites include winning the Xcel Diamond State Championships with an All Around score of a 38.05, hitting her career high score of a 9.85 on her favorite event— floor, (The routine was as iconic as her), and being chosen to be a demonstrator at congress, helping teach coaches from around the region. She is also particularly proud of qualifying for the Regional Championships 4 times, and qualifying as part of the Super Team two years in a row.

When she’s not at the gym, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.

Allie is graduating from NFA as a part of the National Honors Society, and heading to URI in the fall. There she will work towards her Bachelor’s Degree in kinesiology and her Doctorate in physical therapy.

Allie, you have such a drive to be the best you can be with everything you do. You can do anything you put your mind to. Congratulations!

Up next, we are proud to introduce Trinity!

Trin started gymnastics when she was three years old at Thames Valley Gymnastics. From the beginning, she was always a performer. The moment she’d step onto the floor, her chin was up and her presence was impossible to miss. This is still true about her now, except that she has since evolved into a QUEEN of artistry and performance.

Trinity has accomplished countless milestones. Among her favorites are qualifying for the Eastern National Championships 3 times, and placing 3rd on her favorite event— beam. However, her proudest achievement is just reaching level 10, a testament to years of hard work and dedication.

When she’s not at the gym, she enjoys pole vaulting and spending time with her friends and family.

Trinity will be continuing gymnastics at the University of Whitewater-Wisconsin where she will also study Human Performance.

Trin, we have no doubt that you can do anything you set your mind to. You are stronger than you know, and you are going to do great things in the world. Congratulations, and keep being you!

Next up, Kayla!

Kayla started gymnastics when she was 2 years old, at Wininger’s Gymnastics, and although she came to us just a few years ago, we’ve had the pleasure of watching her rise through every challenge and end her gymnastics career on top!

Kayla’s favorite accomplishment in gymnastics was qualifying to the regional championships this year. She placed 1st in her session at the state championships and landed in the top 8 (all age groups included), qualifying to help represent the state of Connecticut at the Regional Championships.

When Kayla is not at the gym, she likes to spend time with her family and go on adventures with her friends.

Kayla will be continuing her education at Southern Connecticut State University and will be studying business communication and public relations, hoping to get a job in corporate communications.

Kayla, we are so proud of you and the great finish to your gymnastics career! We can’t wait to see everything you accomplish in this next chapter!

Next up for seniors, Ashlyn!

Ashlyn started gymnastics at Dunne’s when she was 5 years old in our preschool classes and was quickly added to preteam. Ashlyn is now graduating as a level 10 Developmental athlete who will be attending Southern Connecticut State University and competing on their gymnastics team! There, she will also be studying exercise science.

Between her own practices and coaching our younger athletes, Ashlyn spends between 6 and 7 days a week at the gym. She has been an incredibly important part of our staff and the love she has for the kids she coaches, reflects in the excitement they share when she walks in.

As a gymnast, her favorite event is the balance beam. Some of her favorite accomplishments have been placing 2nd at the Eastern Championships, competing her double layout dismount off the uneven bars, and competing her Yurchenko layout full on vault for the first time.

When she is not at the gym, she likes spending time with her friends, and going to the lake or beach.

Ashlyn, congratulations on all the incredible accomplishments you’ve achieved. We will miss seeing you around the gym everyday, but we know you are going to do great things!

Next up is our graduating senior, Maddie!
Maddie started gymnastics here at Dunne’s at 2 years old. She started in a tots class and made it through every level of the xcel competitive program, ending as a Diamond.

Although her favorite event is floor, she has rocked it on every event. Some of her favorite accomplishments in the gym have been competing her tsuk on vault for the first time, and scoring a 9.8 on bars in platinum.

When Maddie is not flipping around Dunne’s gymnastics, she is flipping around at cheer practice.

Maddie has accomplished so many incredible things. At the top of the list, she will be graduating as the 2026 valedictorian, having earned a 4.615 GPA. She will be attending UConn as the recipient of the full tuition academic Presidential scholarship and will be cheering as a part of their D1 cheerleading team. There, she will continue working toward her degree in Business and finance and double majoring in English.

Maddie, we couldnt be more proud of you. We will greatly miss your positivity and bubbly personality. Congratulations, you’re going to do great things!

Introducing our first graduating senior of 2026, Owen Lezon!

Owen started gymnastics at 3 years old, right here at Dunne’s Gymnastics.

He has accomplished so much, but his favorite achievements include qualifying to the Regional Championships in his second year, and competing his iron cross on the rings for the first time.

Owen also spends a lot of his time coaching younger gymnasts. Whether it’s a preschool class, recreational classes, or the boys preteam and team programs, Owen has been such an important part of our program. Outside of the gym you can catch him outdoors fishing, golfing, hiking, and biking.

As we send him off, Owen will be attending Springfield College for accounting.

Owen, thank you for all you have done at Dunne’s Gymnastics. We wish you the absolute best of luck! Congratulations!!
