We waited as long as possible before cancelling any leagues tonight and it paid off. Long Beach had a drizzly start that quickly turned into one of the best nights of the summer with a beautiful sunset.

And Jones Beach had a full house on a great night for playing as shown here. Bar Beach in Pt. Washington also had full courts. Sorry we had to cancel the Suffolk County sites farther east but at least we got 50% of our leagues in.

Thanks everyone for being patient while we worked to get in as much action as possible.

Long time EEVB announcer Happening Harry also had a daytime job as an engineering professor at New Jersey institute of Engineering.

Here is a message from Harry:

“After 43 years at NJIT I’ve decided to retire. Like when they ask athletes why they retired and they respond it’s time. The same thing is true about academicians. Attached are pics of legacy trophy cases associated with my time at NJIT.
