My friends, my kids, my work, my team. They all protect my peace. I’m so incredibly grateful to have them. I’m so lucky and so thankful. I just want to say thank you. 🙏 I recognize all of my blessings. I’m choosing to look at all of the positive aspects of my life today. If you are someone who is a positive part of my life I appreciate you.

It used to be just me.

Alone.

I would nurse my baby, put her in the crib and walk into my bathroom. The bathroom would be hot. The tub would be full of steamy water. The mirrors would be foggy. I’d put in my earbuds, I’d put on the music, and I’d move. Alone. For an hour. I’d be drenched in sweat. And I could feel myself come alive. It was in those hours that SCULPT was born. Those naps. Every day a hot bathroom. At first no weights. Just moving in fluid motions that felt like flying. For an hour I’d feel weightless. And I’d spend the rest of the day airing out the room so I didn’t get in trouble.

And now the room is bigger. It’s still hot. And it’s ok that the walls drip. No one is there to yell at me. Plus it’s spa paint duh. And we are together. I don’t have to do this alone in the bathroom. My daughter is 10. And she watches me plan classes on the kitchen floor. That baby I once nursed is now helping me pick music. But let’s never forget the seed. It was dark. It was depressed. It was hard. But I planted it. And what has bloomed is inspirational. The seed was an idea. What if I did this for real. I took a chance. And this method has changed me and my life for the better.

To everyone who has come through the studio doors,just know I think of that sad mom alone in the bathroom every day. And you all have become people I can move with. It’s a blessing.
