Ages 10/11/12 - “Transition and Thrive on the 50/70 Field”

The focus will be on throwing mechanics and accuracy to improve “pop times” to second base. Also blocking and other aspects of catching as needed plus introduction to throwing arm/shoulder care and arm strength development.

Dates: August 17 and 19, 2026

Times: 1:30 - 3:00 PM for upcoming 13u, 14u and 15u players.
3:00-4:30 PM for upcoming 11u players and second year 12u

Hayner Academy Names Tanner Dunkel 13U Barnstormers Head Coach for 2026-‘27 Season.

Tanner is a graduate of Wells College where he started 4 years as an infielder. A teacher and current JV Baseball coach at Schuylerville HS, he has been with the Barnstormers program as a coach for 7 years the last 5 as head coach for ages 13U thru 17U compiling an overall record of 132-38-3. Tanner was also a former Barnstormer player from 2014-2016.

In a re-match of game 3, the 17U Barnstormers were defeated by 5-Star National Tampa 2027 9-1 on Monday in the first round of playoffs at the Perfect Game BCS National Championship in Fort Myers, FL yesterday.

Sawyer Saddlemire (Salem, ‘27) and Jacob Wolf ((Queensbury, ‘27) lead the Barnstormers offense with an RBI double and two singles, respectively.

The Barnstormers went 3-2-1 on the trip. Top overall HAB hitters for the week were:

Jacob Wolf - 8 hits; double, triple, .471
Tyler Dorvee (Queensbury, ‘27) - 8 hits; double, .400
Sawyer Saddlemire - 5 hits; two doubles, triple, HR

Hayner Academy Barnstormers 17U tied the SWFL Rockies Scout 2027 17U 1-1 in game 5 of pool play at the Perfect Game BCS National Championship played at Player Development Complex in Fort Myers, FL yesterday.

Barnstormers starting left-handed pitcher Jackson Duncan (Shenendehowa, ‘27) was the star of the day as he gave up only three hits and one run over six innings while striking out three. Thomas Cooper (Shenendehowa, ‘27) pitched one inning of scoreless relief, striking out two.

Owen Fear (Saratoga, ‘27 - triple and single) and Luke Mootz ((Queensbury, ‘27 - sacrifice fly) led the HAB offense.

Both teams came into the game 3-1 and advanced to the playoff round.
