A track tells you where he stepped. 🐾The rest of the sign tells you why he was there and whether he’s likely to return.

📍 Nearly a decade of tracking Grand Lake whitetails, because apparently taking the easy way through the woods isn’t in their nature. 🥃

Whiskey Bent Tracking is helping this handsome hound find the family he was meant to have. 🐾❤️

He was found roaming hunting land and, sadly, no owner ever came forward to claim him. 💔 Yes, law enforcement is aware. 📢 It’s clear that someone has spent time with this boy before. He shows signs of previous training, walks well on a leash. 🦮 He appears to have indoor house training. 🏠 He enjoys being around people and has enough personality to keep his future family laughing. 😄

Based on his appearance, we believe he may be an American English Coonhound mix, commonly called a Redtick Coonhound mix. His white coat with reddish ticking, brown markings, long hound ears, athletic frame, and strong nose all point in that direction. 🐶 His head and body are a little broader and heavier than some purebred Redticks, which suggests he may be mixed with another coonhound, Foxhound, or larger working breed. Only a DNA test could tell us for certain, but the hound is definitely strong in this one. 🐾

With his friendly personality, apparent house manners, previous training, and love for attention, we believe he has the potential to make a wonderful family companion in the right home. 🏠❤️

We aren’t looking for just anywhere for him to land. We’re looking for the right home where he will be safe, appreciated, and treated like part of the family. 🤗

If you've been hoping to draw a 2026 Oklahoma whitetail hunt on Cherokee Nation lands, now's the time to get your application in through the Gadugi Portal.

There's nothing quite like crisp fall mornings, a good stand, and the chance to make memories that last long after the season ends. Best of luck to everyone putting in for the draw!
